Call of Duty 3 (wii)
And from WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back in the day. (just for for fun)
Super Scope 6 (SNES). Ten plus years later, I still have the cartridge, but no gun.

Lair for PS3. Horrible, horrible game.
Fallout3 for PS3. Good game, shitty developers not making DLC for PS3.
I've only bought a few games in the past 5 years or so, though I've rented a few. Halo 2, Halo 3, Fable, Fable II, and FFXI. Of those, pretty much fable II is the only regret. Got about two hours in and stopped caring. It's like somebody said - online games ruined single player games for me.
Halo I hate because it's retarded.
There are so few actual stinkers in this thread, I was disappointed. People are mostly saying they've been let down by big, quality releases, which is fine -- everyone has different tastes, and that's bound to happen -- but I want to hear about more people who were totally suckered into buying something shitty. A lot of you guys have been treated tenderly by the world of videogames.
And I would contribute, but I honestly can't remember the last time I bought a total shit game. I can probably count the amount of games I've personally purchased over the last several years on one hand. Now, if I got into games I was sent to cover for work, I could mention a few, like "Operation Darkness." Damn, that game sucks some serious ass. Horrendously disgusting graphics, good battle system marred by various bugs, and so on...
Xenosaga Ep. I
Xenosaga Ep. II
The first wasn't so bad but after playing Xenogears my expectations were VERY high.
I know that was my fault but fuck, the game just could not live up to the hype. It was fairly lackluster in compairson to several PS2 RPGs that had already been released at the time as well.
Big letdown.
With my expectations lowered Ep. II still failed to deliver.
Sure, if I wanted a video "book" or a long movie it would have been great. The story is awesome and the music is at least decent but the gameplay is ass.
I have always heard that the second one sucked remarkable amounts of ass. They did attempt to fix it by making the third essentially ignore that the second existed, didn't they? And also by releasing the DS version which combined the first two in a "better" way.
I wouldn't know about that; Obviously I didn't have much motivation to seek out either of those!
Assassin's Creed. I plan to finish this, but it wasn't worth the 30$ I paied for it.
Spore. Played this for three hours, and hated every minute of it.
Far Cry 2. I plan to finish this off too. Again, not worth the 50$ I paied for it.
dead links
GTA4
The second one did suck. it was like a chore to get through. The game felt like one big fetch quest. They made the third one much more enjoyable than the second, although it cant compare to the first. They tweaked the battle system a bit in the third and it wasnt totally to my liking. I preferred the battle system from #1.
The only good thing about the 2nd one is it could be done in like 25 hours. It was short as hell. Third one did the end of the series proud. I bought all three of them at the same time, so I just powered through #2.
Arc The Lad Collection for PSX. Interesting game but the story was on par with the original Dragon Quest or something. Also regret buying Arc The Lad for PS2. Hmm, I'm starting to see a pattern here...
Halo 3
Final Fantasy x-2
Chromehounds
Wheel of fortune- n64(twas a gift.)
Star Wars Battlegrounds 2- psp
Last Remnant
Devil May Cry 2
Quest 64
dark cloud 2 - I've bought it 4 times now and every time I somehow lose it/gets stolen/whatever... bullshit
rogue galaxy - it was fun but it started to get really tedious...
Suikoden IV - woof
Unlimited SaGa - I really like how you learn abilties and shit in the game but... fucking LP is stupid and the dumb enemy difficulty was retarded
After playing Rainbow six for god knows how long, playing COD4 was a nightmare. I never could get into it no matter how interested everyone seemed.
Fable 2 as mentioned a billion times. Force Unleashed was a supreme disappointment and I am huge Star Wars fan. Eternal Sonata too, holy crap was that bad. I like classical musik well enough but holy crap. I'm not going to spend 10 hours in a cutscene where they just talk on and on like a first year philosophy major. Bad game, hope it burns, forever.
Do they seriously have 8 out of 10 on the box? That's how you know it's a bad game, since most metacritic scales start at 9.5.
I definately regret buying Infinite Undiscovery, took me a day to beat it. The voice acting and cliché plot is just, meh.
Oh, and Where's Waldo for the NES, fuck that shit.
