It does change the dynamics a lot. Flashback fill holes, flashforward create more questions.

Because I watched it long enough to know why I don't like it. Which is what you pointed out...questions questions questions. The show has no fulfillment. The first season was fantastic though.

I'm not dissing the other seasons, I'm dissing the show. If I don't like the direction of a show, do I owe a show the obligation to stick with it? The only show I've ever did that for was "Heroes", but that was because it deserved a second chance due to the writers strike. As you said, Lost still full of questions. I have some semblance of what's going on (well, I did a while ago) by just reading random blogs and sites and what-not about it. As I said, the show has no fulfillment. It's a show MADE for cult fans who will spill the blood of their opposers for their drink from the Lost goblet. I'm not the only one who thinks this though, this premier dropped 30% from the last. Convoluted plot lines only work for those cult fans. To tie it into this thread to keep it somewhat on topic since this has spun out of the topic of this thread, Lie to Me premiered with better numbers than this seasons Lost.

Rating =/= quality. Otherwise, American idol would be the best thing on TV.

I never said you had to like the show, but if you make a claim that "Lost suck", I don't see why I can't argue with this. Also, there is a difference between "I don't like" and "something suck".

And finally, 12 millions viewer is not what I would call "cult".

No, ratings doesn't equal quality, but a ratings decline over several seasons almost always shows a decrease in interest for that show from it's dedicated vieweres. And no, there isn't a difference between saying somethings "sucks" and "i don't like...". For me to explain this will require me to write a dissertation on subject and object interaction that would throw this thread off more than it already is. And no, you didn't start it, but when it started, it was relevant to this thread, you decided to trudge in here QQing about people who disagreed with you, and you spunn it out of control.

"something sucks" is a statement of fact.
"i dislike something" is a statement of opinion.

Of course, you can pass it as an opinion, but expect people to argue if you word it this way.

About rating, you need to keep in mind time schedule was changed once again, and there was competition this time. It can't have a positive effect.

Finally, Lost isn't the kind of show you can jump in anytime like let's say...House. Rating can't really go up in this context.
