I'm sorry that your reading skills are so undeveloped Nimbus, but my post clearly condemned both sides of this equation. The people that got banned rightly should feel anger that I only got a slap on the wrist. *I* am angry I only got a slap on the wrist. I should have been banned right alongside the majority of my linkshell. Regardless of SE's inaction towards me, due to my linkshell being destroyed I am quitting. The effect is the same.

Eventually it will sink in that a large portion of the people that got banned were the forerunners of this game. Information that they discovered about new content trickled down until everyone else that was capable could do the same events. Now those people are gone. If nobody steps in to fill that void, you'll find a game in which new content is completely ignored for being "too hard." How many years will it be before another PW kill because of this? As I stated previously, if no one steps into the void created, ffxi has a bleak future. Unfortunately, I doubt the "woohoo"ers of this thread are capable of filling it. Perhaps the remnants of the linkshells effected, if they don't choose to do what I am doing.

remember in 2005 around christmas time when the game reached hyper inflation because of gil duping. Those people were perma banned regardless of account history clean or not.

Duping is serious game abuse for profit or not, it creates an imbalance in the game and if you got temp banned count yourself lucky. Cheating will never get you anywhere.
