I find the "this will kill endgame" chatter sprinkled through this gigantic thread to be pretty amusing. If you look at the kill-count, there are nine servers with no known bans; that's almost a third of the servers. Sure, they probably annihilated Asura and Valefor's endgame, but there's a good chunk of endgame folks who are thoroughly unafflicted by the dupe-scythe.

Have ~1/3 of their servers probably made their decision to drop the hammer a lot easier, too. As said many times before, if the dupe pioneers had made their dirty little secret more well-known, THEN SE would've faced a tough decision to ban thousands.

There's a fixed number of mining points in the area, a fixed number of inventory slots per miner, and an incredibly low drop rate to boot. They were already expensive just by virtue of rarity, and their stability came from the relatively slow pace of incoming completed drops requiring the materials. An explosion of available bodies ready to be completed by anyone with gil to throw around means the price could only go up, which impacts the people who got their body pieces at an otherwise normal pace.

Has nothing to do with the miners. We all know they're all (okay, not all, but most, seriously, be honest) RMT anyway.

SE told you not to exploit glitches. If you do, I don't see how you have any right to bitch.

From what SE said, 400 people got a 72-hour suspension for exploiting the glitch and 550 people got permanently banned for other shit that they found in the logs. Meaning out of 950 people who exploited these glitches, 550 of them performed other acts of misconduct that they happened to stumble upon. The GGing should be to the dolts who act like penises and break ToS violations. Sucks...but you asked for it.

You guys might not even be perma-banned. The SE Web chat people are about as smart as the people who made this game. He tells me i'm banned until i gave him my info then it turned into just a suspension.
