I'm still not banned, just annoyed by all the kids praising SE for doing something as stupid as banning these people.

Fail. The player base demanded a harder line by SE on cheating, so they created the STF. The STF unearths the biggest instance of non-RMT cheating and now the hard line--that we, as players, BEGGED FOR--is being used, it's bad? It's unfair?

What pisses me off the most about this, is the fact that the punishment in no ways fits the crime. It looks like they did nothing but actually do a keyword search on stored chat logs and just see who mentioned the glitch in their chat, without actually looking at who actually benefited the most from this. A few pages back there is a player being suspended for simply getting LOL Denali legs, while I know people with 8 duped salvage pieces who just walked off with nothing but a warning.

As a software engineer myself I can tell you it's inexcusable for such a huge programming glitch to go unnoticed for almost two years for any software company like SE, and in return for them to hand out such a huge punishment to the company's customers without actually taking into consideration the amount of time many of these players have put into this game.

I run a salvage Shell myself and while none of us even knew about this thing before it got fixed. I can tell you that after over 80 fucking turtles and no drops and 1 macha's coat after 150ish QQTH there is no way I would not do this if I could gear up three of the people in our group. This is something many of the people loathing on the banned people don't even think about. I got pissed off as much as anyone when I saw some douche bag in the original topic say "If you didn't know about this you probably didn't deserve to." But many of the suspended/banned people have simply done too much for this game to just get fucked in the ass like this by The Dev team, as nothing but a quick fix to the problem. LOL Seriously stop kicking people when they're down many of us-not all- would do the exact same thing if we knew about it. Karma is a Bitch.

Another fuck up on SE's part for simply being too lazy with game testing, and the player base keeps paying the price for it.

Edit: Before you say they do test the software there are differences between a software working and working as intended its their fucking job to reduce the problems as much as they can. Boo SE.

You realize, of course, that SE may have actually adjusted drop rates on Salvage gear if there weren't so many people running around in duped shit, giving them the idea that the system was working... right?

Please read the thread. If these people were not using the glich in the 1st place they most likely would of already upped the drop rate for EVERYONE. I think that's why most of the salvage people that didn't know about the glich is pissed off at these players. SE uses a log to see how much is coming into the system (They used it to track people getting 3 usu body's in one run IE. impossible) You bitching about drops rates, but are supporting the people that made it so bad.
