Several people have claimed that they duped a lot of gear, some gear, or 1 piece of gear and only were given a warning. While some who didn't recieve any gear via the glitch, some, to a lot have received temp and perma bans. Personally the people who got perma banned probably deserved it in many cases. I know I did. But that's besides the point. Either way you look at it they either didn't have enough proof to ban some people or it was completely random. I'd probably say that it was more than likely the first of those two.

This is where I have to agree on a lot of things, I know from very good friends, people I've known for years, that duped 5+ pieces, and managed a warning. While people in that same static got perma'd, even when they were only their for 1-2 of the drops. While another only got a warning, although from my understanding they only obtained 1 drop. I won't throw around any names, but they regular here more then I do so if they want to chime in then they by all rights can, but I won't "do it for the lulz" since they are friends. So while no one is innocent, as to who got what punishment, aside for some of the bigger perma bans it seems fairly random, in terms of who got what. That is the big issue with the whole banning more then anything else.

We all know people on the list that were banned. We all had friends and we all had enemies on there. It was wrong to dupe. No question. I have no problem manning up and saying that IF I had been playing and known about it I probably would've. It's my personality, it is my nature, and I would've taken my punishment as I've taken the MPK bans before.

I'm sick of the grubs coming out of the woodwork under anonymous name, who I'm sure are simultaneously applying to fill the empty spots in some of these now vacant shells. I don't care who is who. I could blindly guess at every person in here and probably do better than 50%. What I am more sick of, however, is the blatant disregard for the witch hunting going on.

We let the Taj thing go rampant and egged him and egged him on (we not actually being me, I'm not going back and changing my story. I was there from the beginning saying it was fucking stupid.) and we had to deal with the consequences. Easily 30% of the people being accused, flamed, dragged through the mud are just wild speculations made by jealous faggots.

If somebody made a thread about what a huge botter / faggot / hacker Elphaba is, true or not, it'd be locked and the person would be banned. Stop being so fucking hypocritical. I'm a GIGANTIC asshole. I don't run from it, I don't hide from it, and I don't care if I get called on it. as for zhaylom remnants first floor... we always break the alliance and have at least 1 person drop and form with another person, so we can logoff. Those ppl do not lot any cells, this is what pops the first floor frog.

now it a dupe accidentally occured off the floor 1 NM, wonder if those ppl got banned? I have never seen the drop get dupped before and as such, I didn't receive no ban or email or any warning.
I also wonder if logging off is considered cheating in that zone, so that 1 person mayb be logged on with no cells to pop the F1 NM.


Now noone here wants to get banned over a floor 1 frog which only drops a lvl 15 peice. So I would ask a GM about this.

Pretty much what trekie said. Don't feel much remorse for people but I would have liked to see them be more consistent with how they decide who gets punished and how severely. It really shouldn't have been that difficult to diffirentiate between people who abused it aggregiously and people who were involved 1 or 2 times. There's a problem with the system when someone with 3 pieces and has done it over 50 times doesn't get touched and someone who went once or twice to check it out and happened to be a party leader is gone.

A dupe would never occur in that instance because that's not how it worked. I guess theoretically if you discovered it and began using it to your advantage then yeah in SE's mind you get da banhammer!

The logging off thing is legit it's how you pop the frog. Kind of silly if you ask me, but it's SE's game they can do it how they like. Don't call a GM about it because it just wastes their time further with the other useless crap they get sent.

Forgive me for tweaking the stick stuck up your ass. Never said I was leaving. Never said I was important. I gave the opinion that overall this is bad for the long-term survival of the community and the game is at least dying in some small capacity. You obviously disagree, here's a cookie for having a differing opinion. It's a wonderful thing isn't it?

If SE banned a small number of players perma and temp so far i think its up to under 1k if you add them up, that would be a very small % of the player base. I would think that the % they banned would be about the same number of people they would lose or add in a quarter of a year. Possibly less but being generous.

If it helps you better understand, the player base that got banned perma would not cause damage to the community but rather show the rest why exploits are wrong.

People exploited a glitch in the game, some did it repeatedly without thinking twice about it. This glitch was not created by design but rather lack of so technically it should of been reported by the community to have this fixed. It wasn't done right away for the purpose of exploiting it.
