Fun Fact:

The 'major end game players' that got banned were that great, because if they were great they wouldn't have gotten caught with their cheating to climb to the top. Aside that, mobs won't vanish with absence of these people. Gil will still flow into the economy, RMT will try to stay in business, people will actually be HAPPY for once in FFXI.

FFXI, if anything...was just revived in a major part of the game, hey if it takes banning "oh so important people" to get the assholes to quit, more room for people who actually enjoy the game to thrive.
