Even if you don't agree with me on that opinion I think that what SE could and should do is offer all those that were perm banned an option. They can come back to the game however they would lose the Salvage gear that was gained through the illegal method even if only 1 of the pieces of the final piece of gear was gained through the used glitch. I think it would be a reasonable compromise. Basicly give up the gear worked very hard on to gain or lose the character you put even more effort into making in itself.

I personally was not banned however several of my LS mates and online friends were banned and without them I don't really know why I would want to keep playing. I think because of SE rash actions they will likely see other core players quit the game because so many other core players were banned that we're bad people but just made a mistake and now they can't play the game together anymore.

are people still this fucking dense? Every time you log in, you agree that you will not exploit a glitch, period. It doesn't matter how much more effective it make salvage, or that it was there programming error. you said you wouldnt do it, and they had every right to do what they did. The ToS is very clear about what they will let you do and not do and guess the fuck what, exploiting glitches is right in there! omg the horror.

This could possibly be a mistake on SE's part, banning players that play the game for what it is worth and not just the "lolz" and the "munnies."

The "Since SE is clearly in the wrong" was absolute sarcasm. My earlier posts in the thread make it clear that I think all the people who got banned that are trying to blame SE, blame God, blame everyone but themselves are full of shit. The class-action lawsuit part was kinda serious in that it'd be funny as hell if they actually banded together and tried that.

Kinda went over peoples' heads it seems.

After you kill the gods you get abjuration, after you get your abjuration u still have to do other things to get better gear. And you have to split the pieces with your LS which might be 12-18 people waiting to get items. Why not skip the whole step if you can and just go for the better gear(not saying u quit sky completely)? Unless you like running around with Sky gear your whole ffxi career than sure. On top of that some people dont need sky gear anymore so salvage is really the only next thing to do or Einherjar or ZNM stuff(taking pictures time consuming). It really depends on where u are at the game, I don't expect people to go straight to Salvage when they hit their first lvl 75.

The prep time to enter salvage is almost the same as telling your LS to gather 12 people to take down a god. (Lamia 13 Assault takes 15 minutes) If you low man everything, sure it would be faster, but 12 people Kirin, kind of challenge imo. I am not that good, and my server isn't that good to Kirin burn with 12 people yet. (oh don't forget those pot rooms u run into when u go to kirin) I highly doubt Sky is less time consuming, oh if you were referring to sea. I am not sure about the drop rate for the torques, but I heard it sucks there too.

And if you did dynamis I am sure Af2 is the true endgame gear that everyone wants. AF2>Salvage (Some are of course, but most are more situational.) If we did salvage for gil, which is the most retarded reason to do salvage for. And Dynamis needs how many people and how long does gathering takes for that? And if you are 5/5 of your dynamis gear then what? Once again it depends on where you are in the game. If you been around the game for 4-5 years I highly doubt you would really want to do dynamis for your final gear.

I am glad you agree that Salvage isn't rewarding enough because of the drop rate and the time invested, hence why the dupping lured so many of us into it. Yeah I guess it is greed.

Sorry I was assuming people want to better their character or try to reach for the stars. If for social and helping people stay away from salvage and endgame, its a waste of time. Camping something for 3 hours and not get claim...

About DUPE Decision, SquarEnix shouldn't fix the problem by doing a another mistake
to do permanently ban for players. especially players who got (No advantage) from bug.

Many players got permanently ban just cause they were in wrong place, really its like throw someone to the jail
just cause he thought about stealing something but he did not.

who got gears by DUPE way, they should get temporary ban at least.. its simple becuase since if there is no bug
they shouldn't get ban in this case!! So SquarEnix involved in this mistake too not them only can endure this harash
decision.

about misconduct from players, I think SquarEnix should takes the big responsibility of that simply because the drop rate
was like a dream no one can't imagine it, some players spent 8 months and got 0 35gears. its like BCNMs drop rate or worse !!

So when players see this disablement in drop rate, SquarEnix shouldn't blame the players to be in rush to get that gears no matter happens.

No matter how its hard for us, we just ask them to be fair with us because some us
got permanently ban while they got nothing. (0 gears)

Last Word ~
I hope at least SquarEnix sort this mess & resolve it at the correct way by leting players who got advantage (gears)
giving back them to a special NPC and let them get back thier money (materials).
its easy for SquarEnix to do that, but why SquarEnix dont want to do that ?
is there any other reason, or there is a true reason should be hidden !?!

Its easy to choose the best/fair way to all for SquarEnix & the players.
The way that everyone can believe ..
Th way that shows us the exit with out drama ..

I bet this could have all been avoided if people just let the glitch be known to the public. That way SE wouldn't give a shit and take the same approach as they do with botting and windower.
