Windower was made as a convenience for players with PC, that don't want to play FFXI on 24/7 fullscreen. Illegal or not. Most PC players would refuse to play FFXI without windower, and compared to the exploit with salvage drops, the banning the players for windower would be MASSIVE.

the exploit, on the other hand, is abusing a bug so that it would drop three times, rather than single time. that's cheating. Windower is not.

I'm not even going to defend windower, if SE wants to act on it, then they can act on it, end of story. Ain't a shit I nor anyone else can do about it. But I wouldn't sit there and cry over it and pretend as if I didn't do anything nor will I seek pleasure in bashing others that suffered and got banned for it and pretend as if I'm better than the other.

i guess i'm just bored atm while waiting on laundry but i've been looking through a lot of the posts by people in the "i'm so happy to see all the cheaters banned" camp, and almost all of them use windower judging from their SS's.

just amuses me. maybe dup'ing is worse, maybe it's not. but in the end i think the difference is arbitrary.

Meh. Windower, Botting, Duping. Same things, just have a different effect on the playbase.

If I woke up tomorrow morning with a LM-17 message for being caught using 3rd party programs. I'd be pissed, but in the end, I'd move on.

Three things you can do.

1. Level1 Warrior/No SJ
2. Start up a WoW account.
3. Stop playing MMOs.

I'd probably do #2 until Darkfall Online got released.
