I think something that would interest me at this point would be a thread titled, "ways the game is better now." I'll start. There are HNM's up, standing around, with nobody to bot them on my server. Right now, as I speak. The first person to get a group together and find one at this point, can just go kill one. They don't even have to rush. I've got some errands to run, so I'm not even going to bother trying. You know why? They were up yesterday, too. This is the best thing to happen to this game in a long time.

To both DancingEdge and Okan: it's already been partially covered in this thread (with the Alla link), but please stop defending your ideas as if you're correct when you've obviously done no research. You're saying -- and others are, as well -- that SE could add something that scans your processes without notifying users. They already have.

Now, what proof is there? Proof from people who know far more about FFXI's internals and operation than you do, definitely -- the people who work on Windower and/or its plug-ins.

On top of that, Square-Enix has stated in the past that they are not going to pursue Windower users. If they were going to, they would all have already been banned. And on top of that, there is a way to prevent POL's executable scanning from even happening.

As if that weren't enough, this has been known for some time, so I don't know why you're debating about something that's already in place. Why don't you actually do research and read before you complain and contest? Here, I'll even hold your fucking hands.

I've also stated my reasons in believing that they can due to my experience as someone who had a job working with TOS/EULA for other applications.

On January 22 2009, the entire FFXI community shat bricks as Square-Enix effectively gathered the top basement dwellers from every server and gassed them. There was a glitch in certain event areas where one could triple their treasure and it was TOTALLYtop-sekritnocanknowbutuandme. Even Square-Enix themselves knew of its existance but did nothing, allowing hordes of FFXIfags to exploit the living shit out of it. Finally, in a moment of epic win, Square-Enix decided to go through the logs of the past year and bring down divine justice upon the perpetrators and the group leaders were hung from the gallows for all to see. Naturally all the forums exploded in UNTOLD amounts of butthurt, lulz, "zomg but itnot be MAI fualt i decide to cheated ;;;;;," deleted blogs and (with any luck) some use of shotgun mouthwash. The shitstorm continues to this day and there seems to be no end in sight.

Did you even read what I posted? I don't know, I guess I wasn't clear enough. They already scan your processes. You're saying "well, here's why I believe they can," and I'm telling you they already have. I don't think anyone gives two shits about your TOS/EULA experience when you don't even know all of the information about the specific application you're discussing.
