Unless someone has a really shady record on the game Perma-ban just seems too harsh. SE is going over board with so much lately. SE needs to learn how to tone it down and stop being so serious. This is a game for fun - I think SE forgot that.

How about you use an argument to actually contradict what I said instead of using the same beaten argument you've used this entire time. The only thing you've expressed in this thread was that "they cheated, they are bad, they deserve it". Great, you've said that 25 different times in 25 different ways. So compelling.

Do you not see how ridicuous it is to correlate this to something, then have someone tell them it's a stupid comparison only to make another stupid correlation.

Talking with a friend on another forum at the moment, and he suggests that people with only a temporary ban might see all their Salvage items taken away from them, without any refunding of course.

What about the gil they made selling duped alex? What about the duped Alex? If you take away the items, you have to take away the gil right? If you punish cheaters you have to punish all the cheating, whether it was duping rare/ex or duping alex and turning profit. In turn, that would also punish legit players who unknowingly bought duped alex.

I don't thing alot of people are trying to rationalize cheating, rather than just saying that the punishment should fit the crime. To this effect I maintain that perma ban is too much. I would much rather see 10day + item removal. Make the people learn their lesson, don't need to remove them from the community in which they contribute and help to do so.

Maybe the players duping alex, or selling drops are the permabanned one ?

Honestly, people who are at that level know by now what is and isn't allowed. Maybe, in a way, SE is doing people a favor. If you're too damn lazy to do the legit work to get items, maybe you're better off not playing. Especially if you are knowingly participating in these activities.

I'm sorry you can't log in and cheat anymore, but your actions were a slap in the face of everyone else who keeps their nose clean. If you can't play fair, GTFO or hang out with Roger Clemens over in WoW, but don't ask me for sympathy.
