I didn't get banned/suspended/whatever, and I'm not trying to justify the consequences, but I honestly think this was a mistake on SE's part. Although, those who willingly knew it was an exploit and persisted to use it, deserve the ban. However, people who used it once, and maybe not intentionally, and just rolled with it, should not receive any kind of penalty.

Although I do think this was a mistake aswell, it is nice seeing people that you despise getting banned.

Wow, I was expecting temp ban and taking items obtained by dupe away at the worst, perm ban seems a bit harsh but I guess SE aren't messing around. To lose 4+ years of work over duping a few items - im glad I didn't join in on the exploit!

And maybe they have not receive any kind of penalty. I really think SE probably did the 1 year chat log search and only banned those who repeatly exploiting the system. Maybe only those who have duped more than once are banned, we don't know yet. I think if they banned everyone who has done it once, the number banned would have been much greater.
