However if it turns out to be a perma ban, then I would say its a bit too harsh, but whatever, Im not the game maker. Ill take my money and spend my time elsewhere. I havent determined wether its 3day or perma yet. Called SE and spend an hour on the phone for them to tell me my POLID, SSN, Credit card number, billing address, and character name wasnt enough info for them to release the status of the account (they wanted my registration code thats at home). Piss poor customer support.

Most people probably found it while fighting a boss or something (someone died in another party, party leader disbanded alliance before mob died so they wouldnt hold up treasure pool, that person goes "oh wow i got both items too lol").

You're suposed to report a glitch when you find one. If no one said anything, they could still be held responsible.

However, they probably started banning people a few week after the duping started (when everyone started doing it on purpose). I sincerely doubt there is many "innocent" amongst the people who were banned.

In fact, I honestly would not be surprised if the drop rate has NOT been adjusted yet purely BECAUSE of this dupe. When you see 1500 Ares's bodies walking around, it leads one to believe there is nothing wrong with the current drop rates.

This is what I told a friend of mine and I agree. The droprates are bad in some areas, and people complained about it. SE hears it but sees a ton of completed Salvage pieces and think that nothing is wrong, but those numbers are greatly inflated due to duping items. I know that the chance of the armor dropping remains the same, but when it does drop, it drops 2-3 times. It will be interesting to see how big of an improvement the droprates will be on on SS and Bhaflau Remnants (These are the ones they said will see improvement on droprates)

I asked that, and the lady basically said "sir you can just wait 3 days and see if you can log on, click".

Guess they got tired of everyone asking to talk to the manager.

Im not suprised by this, and I dont feel jaded. My group used this once to take advantage of the rules and we knew it was wrong. If im speeding in my car and I get a ticket, yes Im a bit pissed at the cop, but I know I deserved it. As long as this is a temp ban, ill take it with a grain of salt and not do it in the future. If it is a perma ban, SE just lost alot of loyal customers.

The biggest problem I see with all of this is the same "holier than though" assholes in this thread throwing a party that alot of people (their friends) and our friends just lost years of work. Yes these people did something wrong, and yes they know it, but give them a break. Taunting them and being a dick doesnt do anything but show immaturity and jealousy.

The only party being thrown is for the people that got banned who said:

"I duped and I didn't get caught and I won't get caught." Shame that the people who weren't smug about it got banned, but they cheated and got banned, if they accept that, they'll move on past this and either start over or go to a different game, they aren't sitting around trying to justify why they cheated, those are the ones I wouldn't "poke fun at", the smug assholes that said they wouldn't be caught however, I gladly laugh at.

My friend said earlier that it is an ongoing situation. He called and spoke to someone (he was perma banned) that said more people are subject to being banned today and in the subsequent next few days as more accounts are discovered.
