The biggest problem I see with all of this is the same "holier than though" assholes in this thread throwing a party that alot of people (their friends) and our friends just lost years of work. Yes these people did something wrong, and yes they know it, but give them a break. Taunting them and being a dick doesnt do anything but show immaturity and jealousy.

The problem is that many players who duped items taunted people who did not when it was nerfed. You can't blame people for feeling left out when they were actually left out.

That aside, I'm pissed no one told me this cheat. I would be out of the game today and could move on to something else more fun.

Most of the people that get circles run around them got circles ran around them before/after/during the dupe. There will always be a difference between the people that just dont know whats going on, and the people that just blow others out of the water. The difference here is that a few of the amatuers get a chance to laugh at the people that they could never come close to matching, losing everything. It's the poor person laughing as the wallstreet banker sees his house burn down. Im not justifying the duping, I already said it was wrong, but both sides are pretty pathetic.

I never duped anything so this doesn't directly affect me, but I think a perma-man is way too harsh. It's not like people punched a hole through SE's code to dupe drops... there was an error on SE's part as well. Was it wrong? Sure. But I would still be so incredibly pissed off to get perma-banned over this... 72 hour ban seems fine to me.

The assumption is being made that the people banned for the duping exploit are from the same pool of players that have been engaging in other illicit activities. From an outsider's perspective, those years of work are years of ruining endgame with claimbots and griefing behavior, and I am exultant at those being properly rewarded by perma-bans.

If that isn't the case with some of you, and you just got a little bit of benefit out of a duped piece of gear, then I for one am not really gloating at your expense but at the group's that you find yourself a part of.
