A lot of these cheaters probably buy/bought gil too, because they want what they want, NOW!

It never occurred to them to do without a certain piece of equipment if the droprate is that horrible.

So what's the difference between duping and windower? Both are cheating, no? One can't be worse than the other. Look no further than YOUR friend list for those "cheating turds." Saying people were wrong is one thing (getting past the pointing of the fingers and judging which is silly in it's own right) but calling them names? That's just childish. I personally was banned for duping. Does that make me a bad person, I would think not. A cheater, absolutely. Guess I'm glad I don't know most of the people in this thread.

In SE's policy there is no difference. Both are equally punishable. However, if they did ban windower, there would be thousands of players banned instead of just 550. From a business perspective, it would be suicidal. From a ethics perspective, I agree that both are wrong and if we were to get banned for either, we should accept it. I wouldn't be mad at SE for banning me for using windower, so no one else should be mad at SE for banning them for duping items.

Ah yeah, that's true. I almost forgot that the windower actually grants you stolen in-game items that you didn't deserve! I must have overlooked that functionality.

In all seriousness, though, I'm not here to be friendly to people who, in my opinion (like it or not), don't deserve to play the game. Some of us worked very hard to get where we are without cutting corners, so no, we don't feel sorry for those who got chopped. However, I won't let someone come on here and bitch and moan about how they were wronged for being held to account.

Furthermore, considering the number of people who were acting like hot shit for knowing about the exploit and "getting away with it," as well as belittling those who chose to play fair and square, I think calling someone a "turd" is a pretty light punishment. Failed abortion would have been more appropriate.

They deserve, and will get, zero zero ZERO respect or sympathy from me, sorry.

You know what's funny? SE waited 3 months to permaban people. It's like they were thinking "we should let these players progress for a few months so we can make more of their hard work go to waste (and 3 extra months of their $$$)" instead of banning right away.

It's like it took them a while to review the logs of thousands of cases and catch as many people as possible in one go
