Im about as shamed as I am when I get a speeding ticket. I tried it once, it worked, we laughed, and got a 3 day ban for it (which I deserve). There will however, be alot of good players (skill/gear wise) that we will lose because of this, and that does suck, regardless of if they "deserved" it.

Actually no idea which club I belong to, I'm using their webchat service and am going to be on hold for hours I guess, but yeah will help OP keep updated on my status!

If my two friends Rainesong and Madherk are permabanned, I'm quitting FFXI anyway even if I'm not perma banned (which I think I am because I used it like EVERY RUN lololo).

One thing I'm baffled at is their "Pick and choose" rate, 3 people in my salvage static aren't banned (got warning) the rest got LM17'd.


Does anyone know if JP players got banned?

Guys, Gals, try not to start a fight over all of this.

On one side you have one extreme, it's all SE's fault, it's their problem, no one else's, and don't deserve to be banned just because we found a glitch in THEIR program.

Reasons why this is retarded: If you go to a bank, and a teller accidentally leaves some money out and goes to the bathroom, is it ok to take that money? I mean it's not your fault its there...

Other side: Everyone that got banned got what they deserved, cheating is cheating, and tough luck.

Reasons why this is retarded: They don't seem to have a solid organizational process for how they are issuing bans, and innocent people are being affected, innocent meaning they honestly didn't realize what was going on, or what was happening.


Neither side is right, I am sad that good people and friends got banned, but I have to understand that especially for those that have been playing for a while, they had to have known it was not legit. Eventually if you do something wrong you are going to get caught. Just because it took them 1 year instead of 1 month to catch someone doing something wrong does NOT mean that the severity of what they did wrong changed.

Oh wait this is the one place a lot of you can be defiant, sarcastic and smug without getting your teeth knocked it...
