People are saying they duped because drops rates were bad. But it's actually the reverse: Drop rates were bad because you duped.

SE kept track of how much salvage and Alexendrites were entering the game. The duping artificially inflated that number, so SE saw that it was fine. Thus, the dupers screwed everyone else, by getting a disproportional amount of drops.

And that is why people are upset at you. Perhaps you didn't realize the effect you were having on the game, but you know now. That's why people are glad you finally got what they felt was coming to you, because you helped ruin the game for a lot of other people.

Also, the corruptible always find it hard to believe that someone else can't be corrupted. Thus, the cheaters cry of "you would have cheated, too if you knew!" is false, because there are people who wouldn't. Even though I believe most of mankind would screw each other over for a piece of bread, I do have to recognize that there are some people out there who wouldn't.

I suppose we can take comfort in the fact that people like niki won't ever post here again, because of how badly they were owned, and thus embarrassed. I wonder, though, if people like Neo and Niki will ever have the balls to admit they were wrong, and didn't have a clue, when they talked down to everyone about SE not issuing bans for this.

It will be an interesting test of character at least.

Some are greed, some are pure envy that somone has better shit then them, but in MOST cases some people with the "awsome" gear are real ass holes it seems the more gear somone has the more arrogent they are, i'v seen it to many tims to be in denial about it.

See thats the problem with a lot of people like you, don't assume the ones who "wished for their demise" are jealous/envious, if they were a smug asshole about duping, they deserved to be laughed at, if they weren't, no one will say shit to or about them, like its was said, the ones that owned up to it were respected -- while the ones who didn't and are still trying to justify it/talk shit aren't respected and laughed at.

It isn't envy, it's just enjoying karma put a boot so far up their ass they'll be tasting leather for a week..and many people enjoy that fact. If you're going to talk shit and think you're invincible (think boris of goldeneye) and when you get taken down, don't be surprised when people will find it humorous.

Yeah, since people were too busy complaining about frivolous things like cheese sandwiches and Absolute Virtue for the past year, instead of reporting real problems that actually affect the playerbase. I didn't even know there was a problem with drop rates in Salvage until they patched the exploit and learned about it during the fallout.

They ban one kind of TOS violator (salvage duping people) and not another (windower plugin users). We've established that it's a different can of worms according to your moral barometre and probably mine too, but it's the same shit in the TOS.
