The people who got banned gracefully accepting their sentance and admiting and apologising for using the glitch, have my utmost respect and probably the respect of the majority of this forum's readers.

The people who got banned and are now attempting to justify their bannings or turn the blame to Square Enix don't even deserve a laugh; I pity them more than anything, however, I'm sure the next MMORPG they move to will treat them well... Until they get banned and then start blaming the designers again.

The people who got banned and are saying "Playerx did it n more times than me, they should be perma banned too!" sicken me.

The people who got banned who were cocky assholes in the "Salvage Patched" thread who now have to mince on their words, eat their humble pie and get lost from this game, got what they deserved. Big fuck you to the lot of them, couldn't have happened to a more deserving group. Think a cat has their tongue, though... Haven't really seen many comments from them?

That said, though, I have no sympathy for anyone who did get banned, even if you used it once. The quantity of the crime is not relevant, nor the severity. You still broke the 'law'.

Of course people who didnt get banned are going to be in their glory. It was same people who /check out another player and call them a noob, people who wont lend an ounce of effort to walk to a gate breech in gc, or help another player get an exoray mold, those who want to charge outragous amounts of money for a service, and general elitests who judge a player what job/gear/rank/level without getting to know the person behind the screen. These kind of people have been banned this game is better off without them. GOD FORBID They take a little personal accountability for their actions. Oh btw endgame events will still happen, you wont be missed. Those who actually owned up, you are more of a man/woman than most of the former e-peeners.

they aren't the best just because they say they are.

i still feel some empathy towards most of these players having been banned myself in the past but endgame will still move on and the world will not crumble without the "best" to hold the hands of the masses. No one should be surprised that they got banned learn to deal with it and move on like so many others did without 900 others on the same day dealing with the same thing to back them up and relate to them.

Not all of the 500 perma banned are the best players, no doubt, but we definately lost a shit ton of the game leaders from this, and alot of relic/server leaders. 2/3rds of the current mythics, probably 50+ relics gone, and people that have helped develop our knowledge of the game (kaeko, wafik, and others). If you think the servers wont notice/miss 500 well geared knowledgable players, then Im not sure what you're smoking.

edit: And to all the people STILL celebrating other people's losses out of some misplaced victim mentallity, remember this is a game and try and relax a bit. Some of these people have lost years of work and alot of good friends, so you can tone it down. They are getting enough punishment already.
