Maybe you just don't understand. Yes, Ulth is better, but I'm guessing he doesn't own one, or it would be an obvious choice. You also didn't mention it in your first post.

Look at your dex on monk, or any single hand job. If your dex is an odd number before putting Iota on, you will gain 5 accuracy, if not, you'll gain 4. Ontop of this, you get 3 dex (very minimal crit rate up)

Monk from what I understand isn't considered a single-handed job which is what I was told. Yeah the weapon goes in the single slot but the way it's setup from what Veggeto said is that your accuracy and DEX arn't the same if you were using an Axe, Sword, w/e.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I've not heard anyone say anything to the contrary.

5% haste will still give you 5% faster attack speed with 0 other haste gear. This is better than almost all other options for him. The hit rate increase would be about equal to wearing an O.hat, though O.hat may benefit him more >.>..

Haste is far from useless when unstacked, it just so happens that it is just THAT much more awesome when it is stacked.

If you make a small computation again, turban will be better than O.hat as long as your acc is higher than something ridiculous like 70%, so you know. same for life belt vs swift belt for example.

Just because you won't say 'HOLY FUCK IM SWINGING SO MUCH FASTER NOW' doesn't mean it's not a better piece of gear then using empress hairpin @75.

Also you would have to assume he would have haste spell on him in nyzul for 20% total.

A real non shitty player with limited gear choices should probably TP in the turban, and WS in Optical hat. Since it's DRG, if their Acc isn't terrible on the mob, they can probably swap in a Warwolf Belt for WSs too. That shit is ultra cheap too.

Aren't you nitpicking a bit with all this shinsoku SAM, NQ Staff RDM etc?
The way I see it..unless said person has another job that's fully decked out and is someone well known to be able to fully deck out any job they please..why are you nitpicking about stuff that for most people in this game is hard to work for pending game play time etc.

For instance My RDM is going to have full NQ staves, cept the ice, spider torque instead of enfeebling torque, etc. My main job is SAM who uses Onimaru, shinimusha haidate, ruby ring for ws instead of flame..why? i dont have the gil or end game pieces YET to get what I really want..even though I totally know what I need to get.

Shinsoku sucks, horribly. Onimaru isn't totally gimp, but, Hagun is a lot better. NQ ~> HQ staves is such a big improvement it should be one of the top priorities.

No clue on shinsoku proc rate, I'm not a sam, but I think it is really low.

As for the comment I made on the monk, yeah, I didn't say it was "gimp" but if he can manage to get gear from hnms and end game, how hard can kirin be? The difference between Dbody and Avalon body is huge, and atleast half the shells on fairy are rotting the abj, wouldn't be too hard to bum it off another shell. My old shell used to give D bodies away to people who asked.

About "nitpicking"

yeah... I guess shinsoku (twice, if not more then twice the price of a better weapon), ruby rings in tp and the such is clearly nit picking.

Also, my rdm is the one with nq staves, and I don't plan to gear it further, ever. I only leveled it for Salvage, and I do just fine with it there. I'm not spending a shit ton of gil on a job I don't want to play, it will stay gimp, and I will continue to not care.

Hell, if it wasn't for getting banned for posting yourself, I'd post my rdm here for shits and giggles.
