Edit: I've never heard that before, Snk, and I'm pretty damn sure that dex will effect your accuracy.

Yeah it does effect it but from how Veggeto explained it once iirc he said that straight up accuracy rings are overall better for MNK then an Iota Ring/VRing/W/e. I don't know tho seeing as I think he needs to post his opinoin on it I'd kinda like to clear this up.

Just because you won't say 'HOLY FUCK IM SWINGING SO MUCH FASTER NOW' doesn't mean it's not a better piece of gear then using empress hairpin @75.

Also you would have to assume he would have haste spell on him in nyzul for 20% total.

No but i'll just say HOLY FUCK THIS MAKES ABSOLULTY LITTLE TO NO DIFFERANCE hairpin or turban alone, dosnt matter which he wears, his performance wont have any significant changes unless he has swift belt. O hat would still be a better choice due to +10 aaccuracy, as shiity as hairpin is to a 75 drg it is still +3 Acc, better then a half a second faster swing.
and last i checked, DRG wasnt at the top of the list for haste, but i do haste all Meele there anyway.

My red mage is gimp, I've said it multiple times, and tell people so when asked to use it.

Hell, the application I just put in for a hnmls told them that it is terrible geared, nq staves and the like.

I do not give a shit about rdm at all, which is the reason it is gimp, but, atleast my equip choices make sense. Ie: Shinsoku > Onimaru, Flame ring > acc ring, etc etc.

Sure, Avalon isnt the worst choice for a body piece on monk, but there are so many better pieces, which he clearly has access to. Hes in a endgame shell, wearing sniper+1's etc. Its not like Shura is out of reach.

You do realize I didn't post the monk, right? That's because he was much better geared then most, just pointing out that there are better alternatives to Avalon body which are much easier to obtain.

A day or so late, but didn't get to this thread till just now and since my name was mentioned a few times by SNK, I'll toss in my two cents.

Not gimp at all, not by a long shot, but there is definitely room for improvement.

Smart grenade for one, as mentioned earlier. Tiphia is solo'able by mnk and even if he wanted to buy it, its dirt cheap on fairy. No reason not to use it unless you're solo'ing in which case you'd probably want to be rocking the fenrir's stone.

NQ cerb mantle, may be a bit of nit picking here, but BG pretty much knows average opinion of a cerb mantle.

Now for the Iota Ring. When I look at Rajas, I'll look at it this way. HQ Acc ring > Rajas (when 3 acc with odd dex) > NQ acc ring > Rajas (With even dex for 2 acc). Any situation where Iota would have 5 acc, Rajas, would have 3, which makes Iota ring a waste of ampules, imo. (At lest in mnk's case)

Again nitpicking, but I never really cared for Ethreal earring. Hollow Earring (uncapped acc) > Active Minuet earring (Acc uncapped) > Merman's > Ethereal.

Again, not calling this guy gimp at all, but there is room for improvement.

Lastly, I've seen the guy around a few times before and I'm not 100% sure on this, but I THINK he has a togi and may just be using the avalon. If that's the case, then lol.

Iota, if it will give 5 accuracy, will always be better then a nq acc ring, though, and not everyone has Rajas (me).

Well to me, I prefer and use the HQ acc rings, but when it comes to 2 acc vs 5 str(for example, I wouldn't use a shikaree ring > a Flame Ring), when fstr is uncapped, I'd personally take the 5 str. The 5 store tp is just an extra bonus.

What are your definitions of expensive and not expensive? I keep seeing people say "Oh, but XXX isn't expensive" and all the suggested upgrades you all have said to get because "they're not expensive" total over 1,000,000g. To me, not expensive is under 50,000g. Semi is up to 100,000g. Above that is expensive.

Chiv Chain is about 160k, Thalassocrat is 300k, those boots are 330k, those three alone are 800k'ish. I don't know what else was suggested since I don't have awesome memory, but ya... Please define "expensive."

Shinsoku sucks, horribly. Onimaru isn't totally gimp, but, Hagun is a lot better. NQ ~> HQ staves is such a big improvement it should be one of the top priorities.
