I've never said anything about casting elemental magic in an experience point party, or said anything about skipping HQ staves...and I am not going to repeat myself regarding the uses of elemental magic.

Again, unless someone horribly wants to gimp himself, he should be leveling BLM to at least 18(as a support job to his essential support job, WHM) and while there, it is wise to take BLM up to 40. ( BLM 18 > WHM 37 > BLM 37 > RDM 75).

What was suggested above(skipping a while line of spells), in my humble opinion, is a very ineffective way of leveling a job(especially if it is the first one). If a Red Mage's entire gearsets rely on a possible 30-40k he can make(!) by skipping a whole line of tier II spells and elemental magic capabilites then I would suggest said person to revise his strategy and roadmap to 75.

Didnt think RMT were to Keen on leveling DRG and SMN! (Not Pictured, But they're there in the /sea as gimp as day {Sub job})

But if they are RMT, Well Damn, Im shocked they've stopped using Taru as Mages, Elvaan As Tanks/Melee, and Mithra as NIN/THFs

Maybe its cause i haven't seen alot of RMT lately?


I dunno, They just don't look like RMT, More like Gimp Newbs, The Fenrir Dispel thing helps that, considering Fenrir's Dispel only dispels MAGIC and not JA Buffs like Cocoon, Of which i assume only a Newb wouldn't know (Seeing as it says it RIGHT IN THE GODDAMN DESCRIPTION)

Yeah, the legs/feet are a little baffling to me as well.

Also, not everyone is super gimpy on their first job, but I stopped leveling to buy key pieces of gear beforehand, hauby in pocket at 50, am +1 at 55.

Aspir quest spam helped quite a bit taking my first job (Ranger) up to 50.

K, so I know this is mostly about gimp gear. But this guy's gear wasn't too bad, I mean yeah improvements can be made, but still, not horrifying (minus the AF Hands).

I have no idea how someone with that gear can suck that horribly at monk. Check out the average WS damage. I don't know what they're Asuran setup was, because they never switched into it lol! Note that this is a small sample and I'm in no way proud of winning the parse (and my SAM is farrrrrrrrrrr from complete). And yea, Roberto TPs in DEX+44.

Setup was: Noonew Blau/Mkris THF, Roberto Engetsu Ebody WAR/NIN, Gaelle Shitmnk, Me GimpSAM, BRD, RDM

That entire party had pretty awful accuracy. Did the bard decide it was somehow more worth it to use march over madrigal? I've seen a lot of bards do that, even at Mamool camps.

I'm thinking the exact opposite. How could a mnk with that gear NOT suck. His parse reflects his shitty gear. 70% acc at bird camp, really? Didn't even add up all his acc, but it has to be pretty damned low or no h2h merits at all to have acc that shitty. His asurans were shitty because of his shitty 70% acc (and that's 70% average, unless he didn't use focus, 3/5 of the time, his ass was even lower than that.) Going by what you said about him not swapping gear for WS, he had literally a 5.8% chance to land all 8 hits on asuran.
I'm surprised he didn't do worse tbh. He should have at least been eating the cheap food crab sushi, would have taken his damage up considerably.
