If its anything like when you didn't pay your bill...it will kick you out of POL (assuming ban does this) or to the account management portion (billing).

I have a question. Someone posted this Fix Your Permaban. - Forum - FFXIAH.com about how to get past the ban, it sounds like it could be plausible. Any idea if its possible?

But not paying my bill doesn't kick me out of POL, it just keeps me from logging in on a character. You can't click play, or well you can, but it tells you you have nothing connected to any handles. You can still change billing information. So I can get on POL with not paying. Haha... have had this happen.

When it's connecting to PoL it'll give ya the good ol' your account has been suspended/stopped message. So no can't even log into PoL.

If you go on FFXI Community, and search up a linkshell, it shows who is permanently banned. The names are gray and no longer "click"able.

Someone refresh my memory but, from what I recall, the terms of service was altered because they initially didn't want to fix it (or at the time felt it was something they couldn't fix) so they amended the TOS. That was my assumption anyway.

When the gravity of the situation was realized (probably the volume of people that knew of the abuse), they decided to fix the issue with a patch a few weeks after.

I would think it would be easier on SE's part to make an example out of the EU/NA player base due to potential litigation. I'm pretty sure if the offense was made prior to the change in the TOS, it would be something you could litigate upon if they took action against you for something their TOS didn't cover at the time.

However it's tough to litigate a JP company if you were outside of Japan- which I'm guessing made them pick this community to make an example of.

Maybe it's some sort of conspiracy to make the game JP only again... who knows...
