Has anyone come forward as saying that they knew about the exploit but chose not to use it?

All of posts I've seen are made by one of the following two groups:
A) I didn't know about the exploit and people who used it deserved what they got
B) I used the exploit and don't deserve what I got

Is there a group C) I knew about the exploit but I didn't use it, specifically because I thought it was wrong and not for other incidental reasons like I don't have a salvage group.

I knew about this and so did another guy in my Salvage group, we was smart enough to not use this because well, it was OBVIOUS that duped items would = ban.
Salvage droprates are somewhat damn retarded for SSR and blow the fun out at times but goddam, this is supposed to be rare gear, so I and all those "Group C" ppl who played by the rules also followed em! :D no lolcheat.

So you don't think that seeing a thread full of people who not only admit to Duping but who also rationalized it as being completely fair and repeatedly stating how SE wouldn't do a thing wouldn't piss SE off?

I mean if it's such a known fact that SE reads this board, how the hell could people be so stupid as to openly discuss how they were breaking SE's rule and that they were entirely proud about it and not think they'll do something in return? I don't know about you, but if I ran a wildly popular MMO and was in this situation, where I could see a bunch of dicks not only exploiting the game, but bragging that they'd get away with it, I'd take action and enjoy the repercussions of the massive QQing as a result.

If you don't think people at SE are rofling at this thread like everyone else then I don't know what to tell ya.

Its fair to say that most people didnt expect such a backlash because well.... SE hasnt dont shit about the botting situation for years and many of the same people swept up in this massban are the same botters who believed they were invincible. (Everyone banned wasnt a botter... but many were)

SE isnt known for delivering swift justice unless your an RMT... this is one of the handful of times they turn the banhammer at the playerbase and weed out people who "cheated".

There certainly is. 4 of my members knew about the glitch and we all decided that we'd rather not use it.

I'm impressed. I definitely would have used the exploit. Salvage is fun but the drop rates are not.
