I'm pretty sure if you have apradar, that any 2 balanced job combination should have no problems winning.

So yes, PLD and BLU should be fine.

Updating the ApRadar program itself will not show them; you need to download separately the latest map pack and overwrite all the files in the original map folder.

Like Stewie said, you need to use the zoom to see the NMs, i figured this out the hard way.

To get ApRadar to work; While in zone (ie Boneyard Gully) Set Zoom Level to x0.5, then reset zoom level to desired depth (I think I use x15 for that zone). It should now properly show the location of objects. This should only need to be done once, unless you reinstall/reset ApRadar.

Could this be done with a PLD/WAR and BLU/anything? I keep seeing people say RDM + DD but do you think this could work?

Probably, depending how well the BLU was geared (How much damage they can dish out in <15 minutes)

I duo it PLD/WHM and SAM/WAR, I aggro it on PLD, Dia 2, the SAM tanks it with SE TE and swaps to Damage Down gear when TE isn't up. No 2hours required, very easy fight for us. (Easier when I stop being lazy and finish RDM)

WHM/BLM (her dualboxing) - VERY gimp whm, barely any gear

I could just say "if it aint broke, dont fix it" but my curiousity is getting the best of me. Would it be possible for me to go on sam (very good dd gear, not so much tank gear) and her on whm (very good gear, sch sub etc etc) and just forget about the dualbox whm? Its just annoying having to hike the dualbox up the mountain with us every time we do it and would be easier to just duo.

tl;dr how does sam hold up against the nm? subjob suggestion? Fulltime seigan? Can it knock the nm underground faster then mnk? Will it make up for the loss of the dnc as damage? Anything else important I should know?

If your using APRadar you will have no problem doing it on sam. I duo it all the time with a rdm who never uses convert unless she gets bored and decides to nuke.

When I go in sam I sub war and seigan full time. You will push in down on the initial pop rather quickly because of Sek, after that its about the same as with mnk unless you have TP and Med ready. Just have her pop it since she will have SS up to mitigate damage and the rest is a breeze. We finish in around 6mins.

Quick question about this, but does seigan+third eye work for pit ambush? Im guessing it doesnt, just wanted to be sure though.

Not sure, never tested so won't go saying something I don't know. Will test it out next time to see if it does if someone hasn't already answered it by that time.

it doesnt, best you can do is keep seigan up and hit TE after ambush

Just to add to this thread;

I've been trio'ing this ENM for a few months now with no issue's with sam/dnc, sam/nin (or war), pld/dnc. Sam/dnc main healer for other sam and if pld needed mp we just made sure we had shikikoyo up for chivalry.

We have done it with and w/out APRadar several times. A couple of those times we managed to pop all helpers and still made it out in time.

I box it as RDM and WAR, replacing my WAR with a SAM should make it even easier. I finish in about 11 minutes every go moving pretty slowly. As for pit ambush, I would just let the RDM or WHM eat it with Stoneskin, then provoke after. Sometimes it doesn't even break my boxed RDM's SS.

And I have gotten a Galateia every single fucking time.
