Random Fail II: I duped Salvage items and all I got was this lousy LM-17.

Today my 2nd character finally hit 37 whm, which means after getting caught up on missions/quests, I can start leveling my brd 2 box. Admittedly, he has pretty gimp gear, and I'm only buying him the "essential" spells, but whatever, he's just a mule. One of the quests I wanted to get going was NPC, so I could do the fight when I go to sandy to do tele-holla quest. I get to the first fight, a pushover skeleton in eldieme, and I don't want to do a bunch of walking around on my main to get there. It's a pushover right, 37whm and npc should be able to solo it no problem, right? Right? In total, I popped the NM 6 times.
Round 1, my computer freezes. My npc was low life and dies, I get killed by the nm.
Round 2, my computer freezes, again. My npc had plenty of health, and I survived the restart process.
Round 3, everything is going well. NM starts off with a poisonga. I leave it up in case he uses sleepga. So of course, as soon as poison wears, the nm sleepgas. Two tier 2 nukes on my npc and she dies. I manage to zone the nm and a gazer, surviving with 44 hp.
Round 4, NM is nuke happy and I am low on mp early. Its tight, but Liabelle and I might just make it out if I two hour. The tide is clearly in our favor, when at 30%, the nm starts to spam Blood saber. Each one is doing about 50~70 damage to both of us. At one point, we get the NM down to 4%, to which he heals himself back up to 30%. Again, I am able to make it to the zone.
Round 5, NPC and I are kicking ass. I have about 1/3rd mp, NPC is full health, nm is at 14%..., then this happened:

From 14% back to 50%. Proceeds to kick my npcs ass, so I'm forced to zone again.
The 6th and final round, my NPC and I dominate. The only hiccup in the fight comes when the nm casts poisonga, I get hate and he casts sleep on me. As I cancel my stoneskin, my poison wears and I'm still asleep. Aside from that, we beat it np.

After approx. an hour of restarting my comp twice, and fighting 4 full fights with this NM, I can finally go to sleep. Really glad I didn't waste the time to run my main all the way out there.

i've seen BB hit for over 400 noncrit less than 10 min after pop and I idle in -30% dmg, just saying.. i thought it always hit obscenely hard

It didn't blink yet, I use Warlock's Chapeau +1/Dusk Ledelsens +1/Dusk Gloves/Swift Belt in it, didn't have hate either, so haste wouldn't have mattered
