Remember, if you allow FFXIAH.com, but the IFRAME is linked to a different site, noscript will block it as the IFRAME is not linked to the FFXIAH.com domain.

I think it's pretty safe to have ffxiah.com as trusted, just don't allow anything except that. Even when BG was hacked, the script was blocked because it was linking to an off site script, not being hosted on BG itself.

Ah, I had not considered that. I always assumed the IFRAMEs were doing more than just acting as an automatic link to another site. Either way, I'll still block them in the trusted domain, and unblock things as needed.

If I'm going to bother with this security bullshit, might as well at least try to do it right.

imo I'd still block trusted sites.
Not every 'script" is designed to "make you go" elsewhere or loaded from "another site", when it could just be planted on the site your going to server and infect your PC.. then your infected PC goes to "the other place".

99% the time, site infections are on the main page/forums and the such. if you have every single thing blocked, login to the usual site/forums and notice a strange... "thing" blocked somewhere, you know somethings wrong. I usually check around a bit first, then allow temporary permissions.


Even thats not really safe considering a site could be hacked while browsing, and get infected while browsing but at least its a much lower chance and don't think I've gotten anything yet over the past 10+ years.

Also, even if you have it blocked, and it is an off-site ad, it is still good to know about it so the ad can be reported to google or whatever.
