jesus fucking christ GH:A was terrible, i do love me some metallica though, i'm fuckin' in. i still can't do "hermans solo" or "what the.." parts on TTFAF expert QQ, always end up at 82% note hits. if the fast songs are as overcharted as TTFAF was this could beat GH3 in difficulty. lightning is a nightmare on RB2 and I agree with whoever said there should be anesthesia and cliff, fuck jason and trujillo looks like a gorilla.

The more important part of that post though, was how did GH:WT do battles? Was it different songs for different instruments, or was it just a redone track made specifically for all four instruments? I can't stand GH:WT, and avoid it like the plague, RB is a much better game imo.

How can you not stand a game you haven't played? I treat GHWT like a regular GH game with coop features, I never play it with a full band (or even with drummers)... that's what RB2 is for.

There are a lot of good songs in GHWT though.

Oh no, I have played it, just didn't bother with the world tour mode. IMO, the game doesn't hold a candle to RB2. A few good tracks on it that RB doesn't have, but Harmonix has been slowly filling my tracklist with those songs anyway.

The tour mode in RB2 gets old very fast too... I only play quickplay now, even with the band.

Yea, I played tour mode until I unlocked everything and it's been quickplay only since. Thing is, RB's quickplay owns GHWT's hard, especially on drums and vox.

Sure there's a few more songs that'd add MORE awesome, but they got the important ones, imo.

I only hope that this isn't as stupidly charted as GH games always are, making songs harder than they need to be. I'm gonna buy this, and I'm gonna hope that I don't get pissed off playing it in the upper tiers which causes me to stop playing it all together....much like GH3 where Raining Blood is the only song I can't beat.

Fuck, I'm excited though to play For Whom the Bell Tolls! I've heard from people too that the way it's set up, is you start the game playing as the opening act for Metallica and then as you get further along, can play as Metallica themselves...so we'll see if that's true.

Actually, you play AS a band that tours with Metallica... and it's set up that way because they could control the difficulty this way.

If they had gone the timeline route, we'd have to play Hit The Lights and Seek & Destroy on the first tier. =P Hopefully it works out well.

GHWT isn't as heavily charted GH3, not even close.. Aerosmith wasn't as bad either. The ho/po system is sort of fixed in GHWT, and Metallica is based off the same system so I really hope they don't screw the game up (it's very hard to since it's Metallica, but still...)

I'd just like to rage against Raining Blood because it's the last song I needed to five star every regular expert song, and my best run came up 10 points short...I just stopped after that. I wasn't a big fan of One, but I guess if all the songs are crazy like they should be it'll be entertaining at least.

Heh I was in the same boat as you, but I decided to leave GH3 alone for a few months and kept playing GHWT/RB2... came back to GH3 a few months ago and 5 starred it quite easily.

Same pretty much. Getting use to RB2 hammerons then going back to GH3 hammerons all the songs are so much easier to play.

Last night after the Metallica concert here in Chicago they were handing out flyers that said if you pre-ordered with Gamestop that you'd get a second kick pedal free for the splitter to play the songs like was previously mentioned on page one in here. My question is would this secondary bass pedal be compatible with the rb one....because if so, rb2 songs just got a lot easier lol. And would rb drums work for GH: Metallica? Don't wanna buy new drums for the game and hoping they are cross compatible.

The kick pedal is the same as the one they provided in the GHWT set, so i'm not sure whether or not it'll work on the RB2 set.

But yeah, the RB2 drums themselves will work on GHM.
