So-so chapter, wrap-up and character-check (interesting Eva moment) but holy crap, no "taking time to gather materials" AGAIN, you'd almost think this was a weekly manga.
Don't worry, we'll get that message next week for sure.
I enjoyed the chapter, most interesting part I suppose was Eva confirming she met Nagi 15 years ago during their incident, no big history between them. Not sure if that was known before or not, but it was new to me.
271 spoilers do indeed say that he is going on a break after that.
This chapter was really dense (took me longer to read than both FMA and souleater combined), it was funny, and we learned a lot. I loved it.
It was nice to see everyone get a panel too. I'm impressed at how he covered 12-15 characters in 20pages.
Better he take breaks to plot stuff out rather than pull a Kubo
There's more talking in a month of Negima than there is in a year of Bleach.
speaking of taking a break, Hunter x Hunter is back!
hunter x hunter is a shitty manga
that's right, i said it.
HxH is the bestest of the best mangas, how dare you
and welcome to Negima 271: Enter the Matrix
HxH's countdown chapters makes Bleach seems like Negima in term of story progression.
Hell, almost everything HxH does makes Bleach seems like something else that doesn't suck.
woosh
no, I just need to make it clear on how much I hate HxH (and bleach for that matter)
Seriously, how can anyone like that shit, the last time the guy came back from hiatus, the fucking story moved like exactly 30 seconds in like 5 fucking chapters before he went back to hiatus again.
Made Akamatsu seem like a workaholic by comparison.
You don't think Akamatsu works hard on Negima? I've not found a manga with nearly as much content in it. Sure, not all the content is progressing the story forward, but trying to balance out his big cast and give them ALL comments that fit within their character as everything happens around them is quite a bit of work.
Most other manga I've read only focus on maybe 5ish people and even if there are 20 or so characters they completely ignore the extra 15 except for in special chapters. In Negima you're kept up to date with how like 25 people are reacting to everything.
The fact that Chao's "I'm a martian!" thing wasn't a troll should reveal how far in advance Akamatsu has worked on this storyline.
I'm sure he works hard, I'm just slightly irked on that whole period a few months ago where he practically turn the series into a biweekly serial.
Oh I agree, I love the story and I can understand why there are breaks so often, but it still annoys me to know next week is no Negima whenever it happens.
That was a really fucking shitty way to end Fate vs Rakan fight.
I'm not even sure what happened.
