Possible. Considering the short mystery person, the fact that Eva is Eva, and Akamatsu being the type to totally fuck with us via epic foreshadowing, Eva could be the final boss one way or another. It's just as likely that though Eva WAS his master, she isn't NOW. Like the teacher thing.

Rakan stated that Magia Erebea was developed by Eva, and even her projection from the scroll admitted that she created it, but Negi developed it even further.

Her backstory from Mahora Festival arc pretty much implies that she was always wandering alone, and as major arcs unfolds, it seem like Eva is always present as an observer and/or pushing Negi to his limit.

Oh well, may be reading too much into it, but I can't see anything bad from more Eva in Negima

best to just like, read hxh starting from like 10 chapter or so before the latest one to see how bad it is.

then again, that's not even close to the worst part of hxh, but I guess the author gets a free pass at sucking for the same reason toriyama gets free pass at samefacing

I liked Negima chapter. The pacing was right, and seeing side character do something remotely useful is always a plus. I just hope Fate won't make their effort go to waste immediatly after thought.

Of course, and that's what I'm expecting to happen. I just wish the side character would actually make something signifant for once. They are not as useless as character from other manga, but Negi still do most of the work all the time.

The side characters weren't "useless". They totally got the best of Fate there. The issue was that the plan wasn't made for there to be more players on the other team.

I'm very happy their plan worked. Fate had a total 'wtf? holy shit' moment and didn't recover in time from their actions. Total win.

Guess we'll get some big epic fights from the top players to fight these new fates though.

And yeah...still a good chance Eva is the main baddie. I don't really want her to be though.
