It's a good thing we waited one month for the last 2 chapters, I had enough time to forget about this shitty festival arc.

This chapter was fine. I doubt her sleep will be very long, but it was still emotional enough to entertain me.

Negima! Magister Negi Magi Manga to End in 3 More Chapters
This year's 10th issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine is announcing on Wednesday that Ken Akamatsu will end his Negima! Magister Negi Magi manga after three more chapters. However, he will first take a two-issue hiatus to prepare for the end, so the series will return in this year's 13th issue of the magazine on February 29. The finale will not come until this year's 15th issue in March, at the earliest.

Akamatsu launched the manga in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2003, and Kodansha is publishing the 37th compiled book volume this month. Del Rey Manga began publishing the manga in North America, but Kodansha USA took over publishing duties for this title and others in 2010. The manga inspired a television anime series, several video anime releases, a live-action series, a film, and a few manga spinoffs.

It was obviously very close to the end; but three chapters is way shorter than I expected. The only place left to really go was the Nagi Hunt.

One chapter will deal with that in some way, especially given the mention of how it was just brought up that he would need Asuna because of spell choices. And probably a whole chapter of father to son.

Probably an entire chapter has to get devoted to Negi confessing.

I was thinking that one chapter would have to be set in the future when Asuna wakes and dealing with the aftermath of the timeskip... but the more I think about it, I'm not sure about that. I think it would be a really potent ending to end with them just looking towards the future, or end with her JUST waking up to meet Negi.

I can see it working out, but it doesn't seem exceptionally well planned out if he's taking another break right now. Perhaps it was something to do with contract renewal? Couldn't get enough for another year so they are just terminating it short instead?

I was expecting another arc that would tie up everything (15-20 chapters), 3x20 pages is way too short for a proper ending.

Asuna is probably going to wake up the day of the graduation, I doubt she will get an unhappy ending alone in the future (unless negi froze himself in carbonite and waited for her to go save chao's future together).

And yes, it does feel likehe had issue with his contract or something. I can't imagine he was planning to end thing like this...That kind of pacing is very unlike everything we have seen before.

Negi's a vampire. He doesn't need to freeze himself. He can just wait.

And uh... yeah, this is going to be really disappointing unless Ken pulls off some master level shit. I like his writing most of the time, but I'm skeptical.

like seriously? are they still on the 30 pactio faggotry? and I thought it was already a part of the lore that the term Magister Magi is just a title given to higher end wizard rather than a fucking superpower.

but yeah, they were also saying how the original movie was 40 mins shorter or something... clearly they just wanted it to fucking fail or something.
