For what it's worth, akamatsu seem to have a pretty decent foresight/planning, since shit like asuna's magic resistance and kotaro's true inugami form were planned like a fuckton of chapter before it's really revealed. Of course, that doesn't mean he's even close to being consistent...
And right off the bat, Fate seem to be designed as big bad villain in the manner how negi can't even do anything against him, so I'd imagine he knew that
damn, neg is getting frickin destroyed
And it really looks like Fate will be breaking up the fight. Seems pretty obvious since they cut to him and he seems unhappy with the fight taking place.
Awesome chapter, I loved it.
Even if Fate interupt the fight, there is no way Negi could win at this point, so we all know what the outcome would be.
lol EX Rakan...
Barring some true Eva interference, I don't think there is a force in Negi's disposal that can actually stand up to that...
None of the girl's pactio have any true stat boosting effect too...so I really doubt he can use any of them at this point
Of course, there is always the bullshit shonen heroes effect where he pulled something out of his ass, I suppose it is entirely possible that he did more than perfecting the thousand bolt junction during the training.
But who knows, awesome chapter regardless, bullshit power is really awesome when it doesn't take 10+ chapter of bullshit buildups.
I wonder why Fate is pissed though...was it because negi has become too strong, or is too weak by his standard?
Did Rakan do the same thing Negi did in the previous chapter but better?
Seems like it since rakan originally showed part of that power to negi first before he decided if he wanted to train in it or not.
I think that rakan just take off his limiter, he didn't exactly use any magic or magia erebea.
Need to keep in mind that if Chamo's description of Rakan as the ultimate hard worker was not bullshit, he'd clearly have trained a fuckload more since that final fight with the big bad nagi ended up killing that gave him that scar from cutting both of his arm.
And well, with 10 years or so training, once he decides not to fuck around, we'd have that ungodly overpowered bastard.
I think fate might be just pissed because another obstacle that he can never hope to get rid just appear, since he obviously underestimated the shit out of rakan by trying to trap him on another dimension with the 2 girls, and that was when he's just fucking around.
man... there isnt even a word to describe how bad negi got raped
Word...
Possible he can activate the magic berserk mode that he used on that petrifying demon when kotaro first reappeared, but that's unlikely.
But then again, hopelessness is fuel for shounen battle manga anyway.
the first panel was great.
Spoiler: show
The 2nd half of the manga was kinda weird. I'm not sure if I like where it's going. It's hard to believe Negi wouldnt be able to knock him unconsciously before he makes a move.
Can't fucking believe he actually use the lolnegifever he was practicing before teaching negi the magia erebea.
Who have you been reading about? I totally can. And I kinda like the Ako angle, I think we have some real potential here. She runs off to join the villains for revenge against N[e/a]gi breaking her heart! Cue I Know You're In There Somewhere Fight.
Nothing in the Ako section does it seem she's angry at Negi about things, she's just sad. I don't see her doing anything "bad" at this point, just joining the list of Negi lovers.
If this was a typical shounon fight, Negi will get up and make some form of comeback. I'm fairly certain he'll get up, but I'm thinking maybe Fate will make him get up by taunting him. Otherwise Negi just gets all his girls to yell at him to get the fuck up and they get him to man up.
If he makes any form of comeback it'll be from utilizing all his pactios, lots of Nodoka. And he has a pact with Konoka, right? And isn't her artifact healing capable? Does that mean Negi has a decently powered heal he can use? And possibly Yue's artifact will give him some insider tips against Rakan that he somehow didn't look at earlier. But I'm going to put most of my faith in Fate coming in real soon.
"but even so, Ako still believe in Negi".
I would say it's unlikely!
I liked Ako's sidestory, it was one of my favorite in this arc. Sadly, I doubt she will get much more screen time after this (one last chapter to add some closure between her and Negi, before she jump on the Negi fangirl bandwagon).
