If he makes any form of comeback it'll be from utilizing all his pactios, lots of Nodoka. And he has a pact with Konoka, right? And isn't her artifact healing capable? Does that mean Negi has a decently powered heal he can use? And possibly Yue's artifact will give him some insider tips against Rakan that he somehow didn't look at earlier. But I'm going to put most of my faith in Fate coming in real soon.

Nodoka's artifact is just mind reading, and it's kinda useless without the nodoka's combo that allow her to use the mind reading instantly bypassing the book.

Unless you mean Konoka, but her healing artifact enhances her innate healing capacity.

I personally think he's grade A fucked, though I would fucking love it if the fake eva said something, and he ended up using a more potent/darker form of magia erebea, the thousand bolt seem a bit too radiant to be his strongest move, considering he's more or less a dark mage now.

I also am very pissed that Kotaro got randomly owned by the shadow guy just like that without putting up much of a fight in his inugami form :/

Yeah, I was also bummed to see Kotaro go down without putting a fight. He is far from my favorite characters, but he was around long enough to deserve more than this.

I hope Negi will stay down. He doesn't need to win every single fight

The unrefined form of his inugami form scared Albireo enough to just take him out right away before he fully transformed due to the potential collateral damage, that was Albireo fucking Imma, and Kotaro was a lot weaker then.

I find it hard to believe his refined form would just got owned like that randomly by the shadow guy, since as strong as he might have been, I don't think he's quite Albireo Imma's level yet.

I was more hoping Ako would turn evil, just because I'd like to see the girls used for more than cheerleaders (even if my bland uninspired idea was cliched). The Ako side-story has been one of my favorites, and as Kay said, it'll be a shame if she just goes back to being a sideline fangirl.

While I agree that I would like to see Negi lose, Ken did that with the last tournament... and, more importantly, it would mean he doesn't get the million drachmas he needs to free the slavegirls. It is possible that Rakan will give it to him, though that seems REALLY REALLY out of character for him. Maybe HE'LL buy the girls. That would be awesome.

I don't really have a lot to say about Kotaro. I've never been a huge fan, except in that he provides a counterbalance to the Negi-and-a-bunch-of-schoolgirls thing. I like his character more than I think anything of him as a warrior. But it would be a nice change from most Warrior Shonen stories if he really COULD keep up with Negi... and I think Negi could beat the piss out of the shadow guy. 30 gil on Kotaro faking it.

I'd like Kotaro to be more useful, I'm getting tired of seeing Asuna as Negi's de-facto frontliner (and there is that whole part where she's not really asuna anymore and whatnot)

I think it'd be better if he's actually starting to be negi's rival, rather than one of his titless consort, god knows there is enough loli for those slots.

I always assumed they would free the girls anyway once he save the world. I don't think winning money is an issue.

However, this tournament is bound to be interupted by Fate. No one is going to "officialy" win.

To be fair, Rakan had no instructor and was the "strength through hardwork" type, where negi is a natural genius with instructor like Eva and Rakan amongst other people guiding him
