Actually the inconsistency and outcome of such, plain and simple is rather interesting to see LS to LS now that it's over, Ashira was right, if you don't want a bitch fest on your hands, just leave opinions to your inner circle and giggle over bans, or lament them and remove the stick from between thine buttocks and be gone with you!

I sure as hell hope so because, given my involvment was near equal to some others, and i KNOW they havent even seen mordion gaol before like i havent, as well - I've lead several salvages that involved this dupe and have received an item from it, If they get banned, I will raise a shitstorm nobody cares about

Perhaps someone who has gone through this can clarify... but as I've understood it, the GM process for replacing an item or adding to your inventory involved them being present with you while logged in. If so, one would assume you'd have to be online with one as well for something to be deleted. I highly doubt there's a swarm of GMs sitting around waiting for the tempban people to log back in, stand them aside and say "hey I'ma take your armor now". It's this reason above any other that they're probably not deleting. Well... duping the 'drites would be even more complicated to "delete" or reshuffle gil--actually that'd be impossible. If they can't fairly 'fix' that side of the duping it's unlikely they'd attempt the other side.

...As for your duped items being cells, I'm sure you already know that's likely why you had a tempban, lol. Actually, do we have any testimonials of people getting perma'd for just cells? This would honestly surprise me... given how far they dug into the logs it seems unlikely they'd be inconsistent about that 1 type of dupe since it's rather black and white versus "how many times?" and "how many?" with armors/'drites.

However much I like the banstick smackdown of this all, even I must admit that a single-time cell dupe offender would seem a bit... extreme for a perma. Since there's no gil or any physical object to show for it out-of-zone, it's substantially more benign. Not saying it's entirely excusable, but that's what tempbans are for.

Yes, since it's perfectly fine to reward any of the offenders who walked away with anything whatsoever by letting them keep their stuff. Heavy-handed or not, I doubt anyone here would disagree that an across-the-board tempban and item deletion wouldn't have worked out. Go die please.
