as someone suggested, I think they were more mad about the alexandrite duping, as this is a more obvious sellable (of course drops in pool can be sold to buyers but that's a slightly different discussion perhaps)

I'm curious to know the differentiation they made in terms of who got perma and who temp, for amount duped, items vs. alex etc (if this was disclosed in the 132+ pages of the LM-17 thread forgive me if I did more than read tempyst's quotes and the bolded names among the collected the threads)

my own guess would be those that got perma'd not only participated in the dupe extensively but furthered it by inviting and enouraging others to do the same (some of this based on the number of LS leaders banned)

don't let these thoughts be confused with approval, I think the whole thing is heavy handed if not highly predicatble given past MMO's attitutudes toward duping. my apologies if any of this has been repeated already ad nauseum the various threads

This. It appears that there is a trend in perma-bans and temp-bans. If you just duped Salvage pieces or didn't do it a lot, then you get temp. If you duped things you could sell, you are fuckedzor.
