pfft you don't get a death penalty.... you get your hands cut off for stealing in a third world country.
So in a third world country.... if you steal in FFXI, will SE grant you unlimited amount of gil and anything else you want, but cut off your hands for stealing?
..............
ya ok, enough of that.

My friends and I didn't get banned, we never used this exploit but just seeing the huge amount of like "burn them to the stake" comments just makes me think what kind of America you guys are building having this mindset... No wonder almost everyone in the world hates the US...

master at clicking smileys?
inb4 omg low post count ignore everything she says...
What do people who are perma'd think about those who had 72hr bans but get to keep the items they duped?
I think its a little harsh even tho its "technically" the same crime and i think i'd be a little bit raging if some nob i knew only got 72hrs yet did the same thing i did.
I'm not b& btw, or have ever been.
Thoughts? Opinions? Mindless flaming?
lol, everyone in the world hates the US because a certain group of people, not all of which are American anyway, support SE's decision in enforcing its ToS and banning people who quite blatantly cheated.
In a number of cases I think the punishment was too harsh as well, but everyone who got banned admitted every single time they logged on that according to SE's ToS, their character was not their property. They broke the rules knowing there's not any very good way to defend themselves or protect a character that does not even legally belong to them to begin with.
Everybody who posts on BG, especially the ones making "burn them at the stake" comments must all be from the USA. Everybody who stands up for them and "OMG SUPPORTS CHEATERS!!11!1" must be all those lawless, cheating non-Americans too, right?![]()
That's classic SE logic right there, bans to teach a lesson but let you keep the gear. I don't know if they did that because there's no way to differentiate who got the duped gear vs. who got the original item, though - that sorta makes sense, in an odd way. Other than that, I can't think of any logic behind the decision. Good for you guys, though.
Most likely boils down to way too much work to figure out what gear was the "duped" gear and what wasn't. Not worth the effort when they can slit some wrists and slap the others.
Well, this didn't take long to be derailed lol
I knew people were gonna derail this fast.
