Twilight Princess and Tetris Party. "A must own for any tetris lover" is just another shitty game when you're playing with 4 other people who suck at tetris.

I am going to have to agree with FFXII. I hated the fact that I could just make the game play itself pretty much. Oh, and none of the characters were unique at the end of the game when you finished the stupid leveling up system and the pretty meh story.

Halo in general. I have 2 and 3 because of friends gathering at people's houses (including mine) to play them multiplayer...but I never could get into them.

Gears of War...I bought it for my brother for his birthday, no disc in case, Best Buy gave me a copy that actually included the game and opened it. So I tried it, easily had time to play through it before giving it over, just had no interest.

Kingdom Hearts I just couldn't get into either. Though that starts getting into my stack of games that I played a few times before finding something else to do in FFXI...

Definitely didn't like "Kingdom Hearts." I thought it would be a change of pace for me, and that it'd actually be a Square-Enix game I enjoyed. No, it wasn't. The battle system was absolutely boring, and since all you needed to do was mash buttons, I tired of it fairly quickly. I'd rather have a comprehensive, menu-oriented, turn-based system than that.

Never got into "Shadow of the Colossus," either. That's probably the biggest artsy title that I couldn't enjoy. It's sort of sad, considering that I normally like games with surreal, abstract storytelling -- stuff that doesn't hammer the tale into you, but lets you observe and fill in the blanks on your own. I appreciate the art style and concept, but didn't enjoy playing it.

Shadow of the Colossus reminds me a lot of Resident Evil 4 in terms of initial appeal. I had to really force myself to try multiple times before getting into it, and once I got past the 1st stage I was completely hooked. I really think a lot of people didn't give RE4 and SoC enough of a chance, I guess.

Personally I've tried playing Disgaea multiple times and always seem to run out of money healing everyone between battles or get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of grinding you have to do. It's something that's soured my experience of sRPGs in general, but I'm going to force myself to play FFTactics for psp sometime soon.

    Little Big Planet fucking sucks.

Nintendo needs to make a new 2-D Mario just to remind people how much they own that genre. Hell, even if they ported New Super Mario Brothers to the Wii I bet it'd still shit all over MM's boring ass level design.

Earthworm Jim stomps all over mario games for 2d platforming. It really does. Too bad Shiny's dead and Double Helix is too busy screwing up the Silent Hill franchise to make more.

Biggest one of all has to be Okami... was pretty much the most critically acclaimed PS2 game around when it came out. I was bored of it after about an hour. I just remember there was a huge thread about and all of you guys adored the game :D

    all opinions are welcomed
TC, I am convinced that you do not actually like video games.

I suppose any GTA game ever applies for me. Sure, driving all over and screwing around is pretty fun... for about 2 hours. Then the game is just boring.

I agree with the GTA's, and I also didn't like Assassin's Creed, as it was pretty much a Medieval GTA. I can't say I didn't like God of War 1, but fuck, after the first boss sequence I thought it was going to be epic with a ton of awesome bosses, but there were only like 3(?) more the entire game...big let-down.

I agree with the GTA's too, they're interesting but the core gameplay has never been solid enough for me to really enjoy them beyond a bit of "kill the old Chinese lady" here and there. Although that is pretty fun in and of itself.

NSMB was a mediocre AT BEST and if they ported it to the Wii it would just prove Nintendo lost the ability to make 2d platformers.
