I often wonder if there is a decrease in supply at play here with regard to the dynamis currency prices. Since the increased drop rates on AF2 were announced, does anyone know of any shells that have quit Dynamis altogether?

Regardless of that, I think more people are after relics than ever, which is of course a huge increase in demand... but on top of that, I think most LSs are keeping coins in house and there's less on the free market.

P.S. - Nothing wrong with bazaar markup if people will pay... I made a cool 15mil back in late 2007. <3

its nuts how high the price keeps going up. hell bastoks just hit 7000/700,000 just like 2 months back it was 500k-600k. also one person buying cheap and selling high wont screw it up for everyone, that will only happen if a lot of people do that. for the most part my shell picks one person and sells them everything.

what is the reason behind the price i really do want to no. to me it does not add up that se cut it to 500k for a run and the price went up(tho i said it would myself for a short time did not think it stay up at this.)

my guess tho is that we have a lot of end game players that wish to start upgrading relic and they buy it for whatever it is.

Truly. I make plenty off the buy low / sell high game on the AH. It's the "rush" of things which costs money.

Too many parallels in life to even bother with listing the comparisons. You want something in a week, it's cheaper...you want it NOW? Price goes up. This will never disappear from a video game economy either.

I sold quite a few singles to Doshu back in the day. I never saw anything wrong with what he was doing. There's nothing wrong with what Veg is doing either. Other people are just envious because they're too damn lazy or didn't think of it first.

Well here's my viewpoint on it since some people missed what I was trying to say. When Dynamis 1st started on Fairy, Coins were of course auto-dropped since sponsering wasn't really thought of back then.

Doshu was in a serious race to become the 1st relic holder on Fairy which he did obtain with the Gun. How did he do it?

He lived online offering insane high prices for 100s and singles. He was already crazy mad rich due to woodworking and the update with the release of the staves sets so his HQs were money in the bank each time.

He would go online and approach other Dynamis shells during their runs and ask people if someone was selling currency. He'd send tells to whoever got a 100 coin in a run and offered a higher then normal price for the coin because he had the money to do it.

While a lot of us frowned on it, there was really nothing he was doing wrong at all. Which honestly if some people in pwnED want to persucute Vegetto for doing what other people have been doing already way before him, then some of these members need to step back and really think about how they're making their own money.

Not everyone leveled a craft to make gil while some of us instead farmed NMs, BCNMs, etc and whatnot to make a decent amount of gil to cover for the items and things we wanted. Some people in Vegetto's shell may not like it but, he's not breaking the rules and if he wants to sponser, he should be allowed to do so because he's been a member who's paid his due to the shell regardless if you think he's fucking you over or not.

About Pwned snk, its not really Kyaru's decision so her opinion is just that, an opinion. Like I said, I spoke with Xorn about doing this before I started and he didn't have any objections. Its as simple as that. No ls drama needed really.

You just pwned yourself.

Because everyone else saw that someone was shouting for a higher price. People selling naturally want as much as they can get, so now that they've seen it can go higher, it will. Rolanmart is always even higher than shouts, so those prices will now bump up.

In short, you've just ensured that you have to pay more for your currency.

I don't expect you to change your ways, because you're set in them. But most people in economics agree, that when you want to buy something, you take actions that lower the price. You're ensuring that the price rises. Any money you make from your resale, will be lost, and then some, when buying actual currency.

And you'll start to look like an asshole to many. I've found, in a group-based game, that I get far more out of it, by *not* acting like an asshole.

In short, you're actions are hurting yourself, as well as everyone else.

Last thought: A gilbuyer will get most of his currency from rolanmart. High prices contribute to gilbuying. As everyone knows, RMT hurts the game (hai2u massive inflation and account hackings).

So, the smart people, who are smart with their money, ignore the higher prices, and only buy low. I've set up a network of people that sell to me at lower prices. Alex prices, in particular are dropping. I've seen JP shout to buy them for 1500. I tried shouting for 1500-2000, and was amazed that I got buyers. I whisper people with Alex in their bazaar for 3-6k, and offer to buy it all for 2k a piece. At least half sell it to me.

As a result, the overall price is coming down. It's no longer unusual for me to get alex at 1500-2000. I'm getting more for my money than people like you, who either buy high, or resell it higher. You buy 1mil in currency, and resell it for 1.5mil. Doing that raises the price of currency overall. Result? In order to rebuy that same amount of currency back, you'll end up spending 1.5mil+ in the long run.

You don't see it now, nor will you want to. But I am always amused at the people who partake in these antics. They don't understand economics.
