Fuck this, I give up. Go attend economy 101 or something.

If you're too fucking stupid to do some basic research on cost-cutting before embarking on a project that's going to set you back an incredibly large amount of gil even in the best of circumstances, you shouldn't be upgrading a weapon; you should be learning some basic economics and patience. It isn't that hard to tell when you're getting shystered out of your gil. Everybody is not a winner here; just because ingenuity is not your thing does not give you the right to demand that those who have figured out how to make a good profit "play fair".
my personal opinion on the current state of alexandrite alone is that it is horribly implemented. the coinpurses are crappy and should have been a set amount, 20 and 100, stackable, convertible and also used towards salvage armor, similar to af+1, and relic+1.
if anything, i expect to see a change if not this march update, or the one after that, altering droprate and hopefully adding them to other events like nyzul isle, assaults, ashu talif, and einherjar, the most reasonable event being nyzul isle.
i don't expect them to add coins/currency/alex to auction house, because it will cement the items as basically a moneyshift against rich people, but the premise of it is interesting, just to see how much currency is actually out there being sold in one spot, and based on that, what effect it would have on the overall price on them.
