Well, 5 years is the lenght of their "engagement" as a doll, so planning a 5 years plot does makes sense in a way.

As long as it's not cancelled like Tru Calling god I loved that show and I was pissed beyond words when I saw it was cancelled. Eliza Dushku is the ONLY reason I heard about Dollhouse, and the only reason that made me want to watch it, eye candy ftw.

I know she's a meh actress in terms of drama scenes, but that high school outfit more than make up for it (lol), and she can do fine when it's action/looking innocent.

OK, I just saw last night's episode, and I thought it was good. It wasn't spectacular, but it was pretty fun to see all the serious people being all goofy-like.

I agree that Dushku is rapidly turning out to be the weakest actor/actress on the show, which is kinda ironic to me since originally Joss stated he did the show partially because they thought it would be fun to show off everything she could do. I think it's not entirely Dushku's fault, though - she's been typecast a LOT. I like the dude who plays Victor, though! :D His switches between Russian mob/innocent doll/NSA agent are much better than Dushku's different parts.

Next week's episode looks f'in awesome!

dolls aren't going to be dolls anymore? They better come up with something huge there because the show just lost most of it's story.

Thought Friday's episode was pretty good... it was mainly filler but showed the back story to how Echo got involved w/ the Dollhouse (and I liked how at the end they showed the black student joining the ranks, was a good twist). It was mainly a comical episode, and I laughed pretty hard w/the Boyd scene's where he was all like "I handled that situation well..." and then when he goes like "calm down, I have the solution" and starts playing the piano.

Also liked seeing part of Victor's back story... so he was a firefighter? that's pretty cool. Episode had some rly amusing moments all together, I can just go off listing em left-and-right.

But next week's episode looks amazing... and confirms me thinking that it was the doctor girl who sabotaged Echo's program when she went after Paul. Cause didn't it show her telling the dolls to act normal before everyone else realizes something is up? Only sad thing is u know the episode story line will be concluded in one episode, but it looks very promising

Oh that episode was really good. Really unexpected twist, the previews suckered us all. Loved it though, absolutely fantastic. GET ON TO ALPHA PLEASE!

Yeah, it was fairly disappointing that it was mostly a hoax of "What you've been waiting for..." but whatever, I bet that's Fox doing that, not Whedon. It was an excellent episode in many ways. Funny, dramatic, good story, even more backround.

Yea this episode was ok but I was kind of expecting to no be able to contain myself at all the stuff going on but the best reaction this ep got was a: "oh, what are they gonna do with no chair".

I think that was all Whedon, no doubt in my mind. I don't find it disappointing at all, and I'm quite relived it wasn't a real breakout.

Yeah, but theoretically, if someone watched the events of that simulation from start to finish, only to find out that none of it really happened- I mean, you don't think that would just be like a giant middle finger to them?

I thought it was cool since I didn't see the previews or anything and I wasn't misled. The scenes w/ November were filmed next to where I live, so the cemetery scene was funky because there's no such thing there.

Is it me or the main protagonist can't act? She seems to be outclassed by the rest.

She can't really act, which is funny because Whedon believed she can do everything when she can't really do anything. Everyone else is awesome though, it's not like one bum actress can bring down the show because I like what's going on now.

I really like Whedon's style of revealing a little bit of backstory or information to the viewer through seemingly random and pointless events, though I can see why some would find that annoying.

I know the corny dialogue is more the work of the writers, but her bad acting on top of the bad dialogue just ruins some scenes for me and it takes me right out of the show. I'm not usually one to notice bad acting, I never noticed it in Heroes until I read criticisms of the show online earlier this year, but she really gets to me.

I've wondered, when they're on set filming the show, does she notice that her acting is not as refined as those around her and would anyone tell her to step it up?
