I DVR all my shows as well. I always seem to be doing other things when they air, and instead of forgetting to watch them completely, I have them waiting for me when I get around to it.

This was definitely a good episode. I never really liked the guy they caught in this episode anyways, but for some reason, I have a feeling he will be around later.

Dollhouse was a half season right from the start. Whedon pitched the show to Fox, and they ordered 13 episodes, then after he made them the pilot they threw it out. So no matter how popular (or unpopular) the show was, it was never going to be a full first season.

I thought this episode was awesome! Like I was saying to Demosthenes, I highly expect that it'll turn out De Witt is a doll herself *conspiracy theory*. Also note that we never found out exactly who was leaving the chip there; -spoiler- never admitted to it! And I reckon there must be someone else sending the secret messages to Helo. After all, -spoiler- said that they had been keeping him *away* from the Dollhouse (probably through the engineering Victor/Mellie setups/observation). Mysterious!

I watch it either on Fridays or if I'm out saturday morning/afternoon on Hulu, the show is definitely getting better, needs less Echo and more Victor lol

I'm always out Friday nights, as are a lot of TV viewers. Fox has always used Fridays as a dump night for shows in which they have little faith. I would gladly watch Dollhouse as it aired if I could, but I'd rather spend time with my friends.

I loved this episode, and the parts with Victor were great. I loved seeing De Witt as more than just a corporate hardass/emotionless bitch in charge, it was great to see another side to her.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

Unless they pull a bullshit retcon, anyone who got "silly" on the weird glowing green drug thing is not a doll, so Topher, De Witt and ex-security guy are all out.

Something doesn't add up for me.

Dominic was definitely a mole within the dollhouse, but was he Ballard's contact? When he's caught and brought before Dewitt, Dominic says that without him Ballard would have uncovered the dollhouse long ago. At this point Dominic is caught and he knows the fate in store for him, so why lie? Moreover, how does sending messages to Ballard advance his stated goals of keeping the dollhouse running and the technology it contains controlled?

I have the feeling that someone else has been sending Ballard the messages, and I still find Saunders and Ivy the most likely candidates.

I'm pretty sure that's what they're telling us. There's another spy/mole in the Dollhouse that is giving messages to Ballard. The way Topher described it makes it sound way to complicated for Dominic to be doing.

Well yeah I kinda am saying I disagree, rolling back to episode 6 amongst many others (the fight scene between Paul and Echo...). I really would still be watching the show without Victor even if he's somewhat good.

I am so late to this party, I've been busy lately, but last episode kicked butt. DeWitt made me all mopey, ngl.

I'd still watch the show without Victor, but he's by far a better actor than Dushku, and I think his character is a lot more interesting. I kinda hope that if they do happen to get a second season and don't get dicked over by Fox, they'll change the opening credits to incorporate more of the other characters - dolls especially. This is definitely not just a show about Echo.

Also insert inappropriate girl-on-girl comments about Eliza Dushku as a dominatrix here. Rawr!

Haunted was a pretty interesting episode. Very intriguing use of a doll.

Yeah, that was pretty cool. I figured the detective wouldn't handle knowing that Milly was a doll very well, though in general not much was revealed although DeWitt and Topher had some good moments. Mostly filler-ish but the concept was good enough to keep me interested.

Another poor decision by Fox, taking a strong, plot-heavy episode then following it with a two week break and somewhat weak stand-alone episode. Would've been better to put the break 3 weeks ago and play the Dominic episode post-break.

I was a bit confused by the Ballard/Milly interaction. Was the sex him embracing the facade he's playing out with Milly, leading to him feeling ashamed the next day and prompting the line about having already found a Dollhouse client?

Decent episode, nothing great, but not horrid either. Topher and Sierra had some pretty good scences, I enjoyed the interaction they had.

Their twist on the idea of "life after death" was interesting as well. I'm not sure I care for Echo's handler being head of security, it may make more sense for story progression, I just miss the interactions he and Echo would have, as it seemed he was one of the few handlers who actully cared about their charge.

    Victor was great, as always.
