if he freed echo, he'd just be playing into his "fantasy" of helping the girl. by freeing november he freed someone who had been a real part of his life, even if it wasn't real. remember the episode with patton oswalt where he said "i bet you don't even have anyone in your life" which is what prompted him to move on november in the first place.

I liked the episode, but was kinda disappointed at how they just rushed past the chase scene to saying he got away. Alpha was made to be a genius and he proved that many times over throughout the last 2 episodes, but most of Echo's imprints also gave her the ability to fight & along side being very intelligent ppl.. so I'm not surprised she was able to kick his ass. Also liked at how their initial personalities affected how they are/were imprinted and how they acted in a doll state (it was kinda obvious/hinted at throughout S1, but the last episode made it very clear). Because Alpha sure as hell seemed freaky in the flashback's showing him as a doll..

Amy Acker was awesome. I was not surprised at her being a doll, but loved how she knew something was odd and figured it out herself. And Ballard free'ing November made me happy... knew it was coming, though sad when he didn't tell her his name because he knew it no longer mattered. Now just hope we can get the 13th episode via torrents later this week

Whiskey or w/e was Amy's original persona? Then she turned into a doll, and ultimately become the doctor? Why wasn't the doctor aware he was in a chick's body? I'm guessing he got his memory erased.

No, she was a doll designated Whiskey, then she was permanently imprinted with the knowledge and skills of Dr. Saunders. I imagine Topher somehow adjusted the persona to allow the female body.

Regardless, how do you know they would have let Echo go if he had picked her? That's my point.

I see, perhaps she only kept knowledge ala Matrix. The other thing that kinda threw me off was when Amy said something in the veins of "why program me to hate you?" Maybe a relationship of sorts between them?

Topher has been named Topher Brink, but I suppose it could just be a pseudonym adopted so that Whiskey would not be suspicious.

Or maybe Whiskey is his sister or girlfriend or something and became a doll somewhat because of mistakes made at some point that had Topher become the science guy and her become their top doll.

I figured the programmed hate was because Topher thought he might be responsible for Alpha's breakdown and what happened to her.

Also, did I miss something? I realize Ballard teamed up at first to catch Alpha, but why did he join on as a consultant after trying to shut them down the entire season? Just because Alpha got away? Or were we supposed to figure that he entered their service just to free November?

He was told he had to save her from "the inside", or something along those lines a few episodes ago, that's probably why he accepted.


It was an interesting episodes in overall. Some part suffered from poor writting imo, but it was good enough for me. It's a shame we will never see the rest, because it had some interesting ideas at time.

I don't think they intend to let any of them go, in fact I'd be totally unsurprised to find out November is now just at a different Dollhouse, but that's why that "assuming" bit was in there to begin with.
