Well, I'm pretty sure he's at least partially responsible for it. As you see in one of the earlier flashbacks, he revolutionized how they imprint someone from it taking 2 hours to a couple minutes. Earlier in the season he tries to figure out how to do it through a phone (since it was done to Echo) and such so he was at least working in the realm of broadcasting it to others for such a thing. I'm pretty sure the guilt of this realization is what made him lose it. He's not beyond redeeming though, and I hope they do get him back to his mostly old self for more of the series.

I'm just wondering if they plan to take episode 13 into account. I'm pretty sure (or at least hopeful) that they won't continue season 2 from episode 13 since there's a distinct lack of Dushku in everything but flashbacks.

I think we're going to find out how exactly the flashbacks played out in detail, since there were a few interesting points to go on. I hope the show will go on long enough for everything to get fleshed out.

They could go the "Heroes" (I know, I know) route and show episode 13 as the season opener and then spend all of season 2 leading up to that point. As I initially said, I didn't like episode 13 as a season 1 finale. I liked it more as a series finale. I think Whedon shot that episode as a "just in case" closer.

With that said, Echo (as the little girl), did say "I hope this body is still alive" after she put the picture of her back on the wall. So it's possible that they could keep that storyline and bring echo into it. I just really don't like such a huge plot leap in one episode.

Yeah, I'm not sure how they'll go about it either. On one hand, I'd like them to make season 2 about episode 13 coming to be, on another, I liked where episode 13 ended. There are plenty of things to do after episode 13, they need to go find Dushku + Co. then they can work on fighting against millions of imprinted people and work on reversing all those effects.

Also to note, which direction they go will decide how much Felicia Day is in the series.

Episode 13 was supposed to be the future and a stand-alone episode that has no bearing on the rest of the series, no? I havent seen it yet, but pretty sure I remember hearing that it's to take place after Dushku is released from her term and its something like 5-6 years later from where the series is now

It did feel like a just incase scenario. Anyway Tyche, I don't think 13 was supposed to close the season. 12 was the official season closer (to me anyway).

Saw episode 13 at comic con today and, aside the crowd going crazy at certain scene's, I thought it was an awesome episode & the best yet. So much went on during it that I have to see it again (bought the comic con exclusive blue ray -.-)

Episode 13 is the future they intent to work the series towards, but episode 13 takes place many years later (and he makes a crack about if the series will last that long before cancellation). But he also mentioned, that while it's the future, the flashback sequences may not be true to how it "actually" comes about (aka: don't expect to see those flashback scene's in future episodes cause, if/when he writes towards that future, it may come about via a different series of events - though I'm pretty sure it will still be Toffer who is responsible lol).

Victor will heal, and his wounds will heal very fast.

Expect to see more of young Caroline and the other two ppl (from episode 13) in the S2 premier.

So Felicia Day is going to be in season 2? Are they going to have constant "flash forwards" or something? It would make no sense to work them into the early Dollhouse as that completely ruins a lot of episode 13, lol.

I'm fine with not having those exact scenes happening word for word, I assume the events will still basically be the same and that's what matters. I hope it doesn't take too long to get to the future, I think they can go a couple seasons on the future matter, though if they wanted to keep it quick just one season.

He wouldn't say any more about their role in S2, he just said "expect to see Felicia, young Caroline and the other dude (forgot his name) in the S2 premier." If i had to guess, id assume they will continue the episode 13 for a few minutes or something, then go back to the current time. And he went on to explain that Episode 13 is how he envisions the show's future to be, though not to expect the flashback scene's to be accurate if the show gets that far."

He also said that Amy is still in S2, and that those ppl who have been "hurt" via their activity in the dollhouse will have to face their new reality. This followed w/him saying that victor will heal very fast lol.

They only just finished filming the first 2 episodes of S2, but Josh mentioned Summer Glau also :D

The pilote and episode 13 were probably 2 of the best episodes....fox is so goddamn retarded.


Is there any way to fit the pilot in the main timeline, or a few things were changed? I dont remember the first few episodes that well.

You could probably remove a few episodes (like 1-3) and put the pilot in there. I remember EP2 didn't have much to do with the plot and the rest up to 6 had info spread around, while the original pilot got straight to business.

Ah, alright. That pretty much guarantees that we don't have to worry about trying to tie those 3 from the future into the current plot. I mean, she'd be like 3 in the present, so I guess that answers the questions of if it will be in flash forwards. I guess it wouldn't be too bad. I originally thought that they might dedicate 1 episode a season or something to the future time, but maybe something like a scene an episode would work.

That 13th episode of Dollhouse was interesting, but I can kind of see why it wasn't aired with the rest. I like the future the Dollhouses potentially create.
