Listen, what happend if I delete my main character for mistake? What happend? Can SE get it alive back or not? Its possible to lose items in this the operation?

Has happend to anyone before? What you need to do and wich info they need from you to give your char back?

Call them to find out, most info seems to be your personal and CC info. One thing for sure - don't create a new character in the same "slot" on the char name screen or you cannot restore the one that was there.

You need the reg codes in the back of your FFXI booklet. They might have changed it that you may only need cc name and address but I would have that other info on hand just in case they ask.

When I tried coming back to XI, I just called them up and they restored my previously deleted character within a day or two. IIRC they only needed my CC/personal info..which was a waste of time, since I quit for good shortly after! But yeah, they can restore your toon.

You can still use the return to Vana Diel thing, there is an option B now for characters that were deleted.

But why I need CC and other info to restore a char I've deleted if I'm on my POLID? My POLID is active, I can login but by mistake I've deleted a char...

I deleted my main character when I tried (and failed) to quit back in 2005, 3(?) months later I changed my mind and they restored it (I don't remember what info they asked me for) to the state it was in before.

I've ask a GM all the info I need and he said:

1) PlayOnline ID
2) Full Name under which you have registered
3) Birthdate
4) Complete Home Address with the postcode
5) The PlayOnline Registration Code that you can find at the end of the booklet
6) Credit Card information used - first 4 AND last 4 digits only
Number of Character(s) to be restored:
Character Name(s):
POL ID:
Level / Job:
World:
Date/Time of Delete:
Notes (if any): gender race, nation, rank specificity

I doubt you need all that crap because I came back in Sept 08 (Quit Sept 06, although I didnt delete this time) and I forgot my POL password, and my Reg codes didnt match for whatever reason, and be damned if I had a different CC back then @.@;
Eventually, I don't know how but I found an old receipt with the last 4 digits of my CC and I remembered the first 4, so they issued me a new something or other.

As long as you can prove the stuff is yours, they should be able to bring back anything.

How do you delete your main @_@. You have to push down L3 and OK it, then you have 30 seconds to cancel. I can't imagine not realizing you are deleting years of work.
