When we posted info on PW people bitched about it not being adequate, despite everything necessary being there. In fact, it only served to start up a shitstorm because of the methods we used to do it. Whatever, if people wanna bitch and complain about the details we post, then we won't post details. Fact is that there is headway to be made with AV, and my SS shows that. The last time I recall AV being brought down to under 79% (outside of zergs), he was beatable.

So I'm curious about one thing. When you say you were trying to live through Manafont, were you trying some sort of technique (torques or whatever) to minimize it, or were you trying to build a PT to live through it? I estimated once that if you could set up 10 people to live through Manafont with capped magic damage taken and MDB+20, they should average around 1k damage per meteor, and it would just be a matter of recapping HP in the interval between the spells. If that's what you tried I'm curious how close to the mark that was.

No, my post is only to show that there is headway to be made with Absolute Virtue. It's not to say "Nah nah, we got AV to 75% using SUPER SECRET ULTIMATE METHOD BUT WE'RE NOT SAYING WHAT IT IS!". If you prefer, I can remove the screenshot and we can pretend that I never posted it. Only thing is an admin will just put the post back how it was, because showing that AV was recently taken to 75% is significant (and the reason I posted). There's headway to be made with it, and hopefully my screenshot will encourage people to fight it, instead of whine and complain that you can't take it past 97% before he obliterates your alliance.

As for Fealty, I can't say for certain the reduction that it gives to Meteor, but 1/8 sounds about right. Unfortunately at a 20min recast (or even 10 with full merits), it's not something that can be relied upon as a 'get out of Manafont free'.

Why would I spread rumors about that? It is simply an estimate based on accounts of damage taken while it is active compared to damage taken while it is not. Meteor base damage is roughly 6000, 10 people or more hit it is roughly 2400, 50% magical damage taken it is roughly 1200, fealty active it is roughly 150-300. Add MDB to this and you have minimal damage taken.

I'll be honest, your information on PW wasn't well organized. I can't really formulate a good plan for fighting it from the posts I've read on it. It would be nice if there was one GOOD post with information on how the fight was organized from start to finish, but we didn't find that. And I know that takes time, but it's also very helpful and no one wants to weed through 50 pages of bullshit to find three or four good posts.

On Sunday I will post all info on AV that has been gathered by my shell and a japanese shell on Leviathan. Last weekend in a pseudo teamup, we got it to 75% with all but 5 2 hours locked. There will be another pop Sunday @ 8 am est, after that I will let you know what we've found out (unless of course Apathy decides to do it now, I'm at work so can't post anything huge atm).

Fact is, we just fought it through the 2hrs. It was kind of a spur of the moment thing, and we weren't prepared to test theories today. Just wanted to see how survivable it actually is, and we surprisingly made some headway. If you're looking for super-secret how-to-lock-AV info though, there's none to be gathered from our attempt, unfortunately. (Honestly I was kinda hoping that by not posting info that some people would see the results we had and attempt to give AV a try themselves.) There, now you have your info.
