AV video solved? - Torque Theory Only

The ideal set of 2 hours you would want to leave him with would be Perfect Dodge, Invincible, Familiar, Call Wyvern, Mijin Gakure, and Astral Flow.
Holding the Wynavs instead of killing them gives him access to Familiar, Mijin Gakure, and Astral Flow, which have no effect if they are properly kited.

Well we locked him into 3 two hours, so lets say that is the minimal amount he must have.

Perfect Dodge is a given, very easy to deal with, and if you use rngs it does nothing.

Call wyvern is very weak when the pets have about 1500 HP, and easily killed.

Invincible is like Perfect dodge, blms can keep dealing damage during this two hour making it easy to deal with.

This would be my ideal setup, don't always have the people to deal with 3 pets, along with the other aerns in the area. If you try to pull AV away from them he just starts drawing people in, so you also need people taking care of them.

AV will depop after two hours of JoL spawn. It normally takes us about 25 to 30 mins to kill JoL, leaving us with 1 hour and 30 mins ~ to kill AV. He has massive Def and Eva. So if you were able to lock his two hours to the ones above, it would be time that you had to deal with the most.

With one hour and 30 mins you have to deal out about 66K HP, thats 733 DPM which doesn't sound hard, but once again his def is massive. My shell hasn't tried to damage him much we are testing the locking shit, but once we have it down we will have to break the next stage in dealing enough damage within the allowed time.

Don't forget he eventually starts calling 6 wynavs, and starts using abilities in sets of 3. So if not properly handled, he could Call Wyvern, then Mijin Gakure, wiping you instantly. Just because he has only used 3 abilities while you were killing the wynavs, doesn't mean Mijin Gakure isn't part of his unlocked set, and would not be apparent until he starts using them in sets.

Has it been confirmed that he can do two hours back to back so fast tho? 6 wynavs is really nothing and can be dealt with in less than 10 secs. So unless he CW then Mijin's back to back there is nothing to worry about. Two blms outside party can GA them down and kill them with ease.

At a certain % HP he breaks out the bracelets that the aerns sometimes put on randomly, except his are big and red. At that point he calls 6 Wynavs and uses abilities in spurts of 3.

If that is true, it would make sense to the fact that our mnk two houred with faith on, and AV kept using HF, but never used MF during our 1st round of testing.

We had a justice, he never used bst or nin two hoursed (We did kill pets tho), but he also didn't use bloodweapon... possibly because the Xi'Drk doesn't have a torq?

We had a pld use two hour, wearing fortitude, but hes a pld anyways so it goes with both theory's.

Like i said we were going to redo the test with the same two hours/people, but our second try AV just manafonted right off the bat, which means even if we figure out how to lock most of his dangerous two hours, its still about luck.

I know this isn't anything break through, obviously, but maybe it will help to solidify the torque theory more? Just a random thought.

If we are going to maybe entertain this theory, he could have been using call wyvern because you need someone to 2hr with ix'drg cape to block it. And by this theory, ix'drg cape would block soul voice also. It may not even be any specific job, just anyone with the cape to 2hr (or in drg's case, call wyvern). In the AV video, they have black mages manafonting after every 2hr (granted they are probably in god mode) but I doubt they would "want" av to mirror manafont, so I would say there is a better chance of locking then mirroring.

Does this match up with what people have been seeing so far? If not maybe its possible it only blocks it for a certain amount of time, and maybe every time it 2hrs you have to tell AV what you "dont" want him to do next.

Just went back and re-looked at your attempt. You said it was locked in Hundred Fists, Call Wyvern, Chainspell mode... all 3 of which are accounted for with capes. But you did seem to sucessfully lock all the "torque 2hrs" with your torques.

I was only testing the torq's the other day, but i do have a few members with the capes as well. When i get another JoL popset i'll setup what i can with the capes and torques.

That would be quite interesting considering there would be no torque theory but for the claim of locking call wyvern as the basis of torque theory. Read the OP.

Well it may turn out that you dont even need a blm to lock manafont, anyone with a faith torque can. And from what ive seen so far, everyone who supposedly had manafont locked, did have a faith torque present in the ally. Hell, it may even be true that capes and torques are stackable (example someone using Merciful cape AND Justice Torque could block HF, CS, Bene, Familiar and Mijin)

It was a two hour at the time he was coded. And if you are going to make statements like that please have something to back them up with. If you don't, leave this to people trying to figure this out instead of adding comments with nothing to prove them with.

His code has been altered, several times since then. I can't believe that Square-Enix would allow 4 abilities to be locked at once, and when one of them is that of his own job. If you've read the entire thread, you'd know my linkshell has done some testing, which proved inconclusive.
