    Enemy DEF/VIT/AGI, etc...

    Is there some sort of working database on the approximate or exact values of mob stats out there?

    As a career MNK, I was considering testing a DEX Build, which would put me at ~145 DEX, along with Footwork for specific mobs where it is not very efficient to stack on Haste gear and feed it TP.

    I realize that 145 DEX would probably cap my critical hit rate against every merit mob in the game, but I'm more interested in how this would fare against mobs like Gulool Ja Ja, Jailer of Love, Hydra... and for the complete and utter hell of my own morbid curiousity, a Wyrm.

    I'm guessing it probably wouldn't make much difference on Hydra and Wyrms, giving their high level, and presumably higher AGI, but it could possibly be great on mobs with high defense (JoL) and mobs that spam ASS for TP moves (Gulool Ja Ja).

    Anyone with this info out there?

    Gobli only have couple AGI data on Mamool, but not HNM.

    I haven't really looked into it, but how are these values calculated exactly for any given mob?

    For AGI, it's just the parsed critical rate since once you hit the magical 50 delta, it increases by a considerable amount, and just use your DEX value to determined their AGI

    Isn't that a case of chicken before the egg though? How did someone figure out that the 50 delta was the key number without knowing what the mob's AGI was in the first place? Say the first tester that realized the crit increase had 120 DEX at the time, I feel like he would have had to have a way to know that the mob's AGI was 70 to deduce that a delta of 50 was the key number.

    Mob stats determined by its Main Job stats rank, Sub Job stats rank, Mob family stats rank, and the relevant stats from Main/Sub job.

    There are couple ways to test this.
    For example RDM/RDM mob like Colibri has the same amount of VIT and AGI at any given level. If we know their VIT (can be tested using ranged attack), we know its AGI.

    How do we know they are RDM/RDM? I can only say they use guessing.
    Colibri doesn't have double attack, so they don't have WAR main or sub.
    They have MP, so that means one of the mages job. Then try a different combination of mage that gives result a certain VIT for that level of mob.

    You can also use INT test if you're BLM RDM or SCH to determine their stats and do mix/match, etc

    AGI is figured from Evasion.

    I was wondering about this myself, been looking for a way to calculate it based on ranks and levels. Amele made a post last year saying he had formulas for determining def/eva/agi/vit via ranks and levels, I sent him a pm maybe he can halp.

    Sorry to necrobump this thread, but Valyana or someone else could you please develop what you meant by :
    AGI is figured from Evasion.
    Asking this because when conducting some tests as THF75 on Lesser Colibris with KParser, i parsed a weird critrate not matching my calculated one.

    Parse showed a steady ~ 12% critrate over 1000+ hits for each Lcoli levels.
    BUT, for the DEX81, 4 crit merits, and 0crit% items i had in gears i calculated a crit rate of 10% for all levels63/64/65 Lcolis, assuming they have resp. AGI62/63/65.

    So i started looking at my formula used :
    dDEX=81-(62~63~65)=19~18~16
    then @ table from wiki i find :
    dDEX Crit%
    0 5%
    11 6%
    21 7%
    26 8%
    31 9%
    ...
    ===> Basecrit rate = 6% + 4% merits = 10%

    So i dont see where the 2% difference from parse could come from unless:
    - one of my gears has a hidden crit rate % (maybe my Dragon Harness?)
    - the crit table is wrong ?
    - 3500 hits sample size too small ? i doubt since 12% were pretty steady since 700 hits already (for each Lcoli level)
    - wrong Lcoli agi ? if that, then would need a dDEX between 26 and 31 => Lcoli AGI rangeing from 50 ~ 55 ?

    If i use Valyana suggestion, ie with estimated Evasion Values from checks=243/247/253, assuming Mob_Evasion = Mob_EvaSkill(MainJob Eva Ranking, Level) + JobTraits + AGI/2, ill obtain, assuming Colibris family are all RDM/RDM :
    Mob_EvaSkill(D, 63)=197
    Mob_EvaSkill(D, 64)=201
    Mob_EvaSkill(D, 65)=206
    => Mob_Evasion = 197~201~206 + 20(no eva JT but mod+20) + AGI/2 = 243~247~253
    => AGI = (243~247~253 - 217~221~226)*2 = 52~52~54 for resp. Lcoli level63/64/65
    That result kinda confirms assumption made above for an AGI range of 50~55, resulting in a parsed crit rate of 12%.

    Unless i made mistakes on the calculations above, could someone help me solve this riddle please ?
