I like where they're taking the FF:CC series, the DS game was really good, the first GC title was ass though, wayyyyyyyy too much limitation , the fact you had to have 2+ GBA's to play was so silly.

The first game was not "ass". The game was fun as hell 4 player, the only problem was needing the 4 GBA's and link cables.

Trailer looks surprisingly awesome (though I agree the music was a bit... different), can't wait to see more of this, this is the first I've actually heard of the game.

I liked the original Crystal Chronicles single player better than multiplayer, actually. Probably because having someone carry the crystal chalice is actually gay as hell.

That said, I haven't played any after that, but Crystal Bearers looks way awesome.

I liked the GCN FF:CC, but like Kiarax has said... it was only really fun w/ multiple ppl. I never played the FF:CC game for the DS, so seeing this game is as if they totally scraped the chalice idea (not a bad thing) and totally redefined the game from the ground up.

The only thing I remember about the GC Crystal Chronicles is that the final boss battle was sooooooooooooooooooooo long.

Looking forward to this game though, I need more Wii games.

Bit short and rather easy, but yes, it's fun. Way more fun multiplayer though (and no annoying crystal to carry around, so even with just 2 people it's fun unlike the GC one where 2 people was shitty).

The whole story is over like 9 or 12 game years or something, but you can beat it as early as year 4 or something if you're good

Hm... the game is very cheap used, maybe I'll pick up a copy when my backlog clears up some and try again.

edit: Also, isn't My Life as King supposedly halfway decent if you go into it expecting a strategy game? From what I hear it's pretty deep but I was wondering if anyone has firsthand experience playing it.

I honestly didn't like some of the changes they made for Ring of Fates. Mostly make Selkies use bows instead of clubs, and making Lilties into pansy alchemists instead of those beastly knights they used to be. The jumping was nice though.

I honestly don't know what to make of that trailer. Crystal Chronicles was built as a multiplayer game, and I was kind of hoping for that on the Wii, although hopefully improved with less repetition and more depth, which the trailer seems to be the case, but without multiplayer. They're also bring this game out on the DS, so hopefully that one will have multiplayer at least.
