Yeah, I realized after I went to work that the new one coming out for the DS is different than this one for the Wii, but I know the difference between the WiiWare one. lol
New trailer and info. Non-child lead, action-adventure, control gravity with Wiimote, open world gameplay. Sounds neat.
The point was to have a protagonist who is “already a hero” before the story even begins.
...
I wanted more of a world-weary weather-beaten image, my image was not to design a hero with curly hair, but to make it appear a little disheveled because it’s supposed to be a little messy so that it appears that he’s been through a lot of stuff and wanted to convey a rugged look for the hero.By virtue of being a “crystal bearer,” Layle has the ability to control gravitational force. Using this ability, you can influence enemies within the game. This is done by using the Wii remote’s pointer to target them. From there, you can either pull yourself toward an enemy, pull an enemy toward you, throw them at other enemies or even swing yourself around enemies or other objects to dodge their attacks.YouTube - FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES: THE CRYSTAL BEARERS PrologueThe game does retain certain RPG elements though. While there is no leveling-up system, the growth of Layle’s abilities is controlled using accessories and equipment.

The main character's attitude annoy me, but the game still look nice. Kinda bummed to read there is no level, but I guess gears/skill progression is fine too.
I don't know...he kinda look gay. Curly blonde hair and fur coat probably doesnt help. This is because Itahana wanted to give Layle a more rugged look as opposed to a prettyboy one
Long as main char isn't like from Tales of Symphonia 2, I'm game. Still praying that the controls are good and smooth
The main character doesn't look as "world-weary weather-beaten" as it sounds like they want him to, but Square has been doing the pretty boy lead for over a decade now, it will take them some more time to come out of it. It sounds like a decent first step with the character already having his coming of age story behind him.
Could've done a lot better designing the main character, but overall, looks like this could actually be a pretty respectable game.
At the very least, it looks like they're actually trying.
IGN's impressions from the game. It sounds like the motion control will be similar to Boom Blox, grabbing and throwing things around, but in an open world environment. Sounds interesting.

I was reading an article and they said it would be 75% minigames, like picking carrots and shit for people, eh sounds boring to me.
YOU'RE BORING
edit: this game is probably my most anticipated wii game of the next few months, aside from maybe Fragile and Arc Rise Fantasia.
Yeah well your gay, sup now?
Article mentioned above.

What a tempting offer.
Anyway, Im not really sure what their trying to do with this game, but the whole 75% minigame is a turnoff for me.
I was tempted to play this despite not being a fan of the non numbered games. But the mini games aspect is a real turn offGuess my Wii shall remain dusty.
so apparently someone at S-E realized that releasing a game on the day after Christmas is pretty much retarded, and this is supposedly out today. Reviews have been mixed, but I definitely want to try it out.
Personally I'm waiting for it to get dumped so I can pirate it lol
