Edit: Don't be content with Demonoid. Sure, take an invite if you have one, but start looking for decent private trackers immediately. You won't regret it. Demonoid is garbage.

How does one even go about looking for private trackers? All i've managed in a year and a half is demonoid and Super Torrents(Which oddly enough is decent for new movies, 702GB upload gives nice bonuses too! hah)

Ever since I got an Invite to Torrentleech it's pretty much the only tracker I use. That said I don't download many mp3s/music so I can't speak for that aspect.

Make friends, seriously. Some of the high order private trackers are near impossible/actually impossible to get into (someone get me a TranceTraffic invite and I'll love you forever), but some extremely good ones like TorrentLeech can be found if you look hard enough. TL isn't good for music, but I've got what and waffles for that.

for HD TV and Movies, HDBits is the only site you would ever need(they have amazing internal encoders,, pretty much every other HD site steals encodes from hdbitsm (esir, ctrlhd, ring a bell?)Invites currently disabled though cuz people started being dumb with them

for SD stuff, well that one depends on who you ask, so im not gonna say which one is best, but let me just say this, all SD is not created equal, for those that prefer quality, look for sites with internal encoders, and not ones that just up whatever some scene group decides to upload

(Yes even standard definition can look very good if encoded right)

Eh most people understand that, but it really is impossible for the avg person to find invites to these highly coveted private trackers, and needless to say, until that magical day demonoid will suffice. Although I really am digging the site that Tyche posted, already have 5GB on dl :< lol

EZTV seeds are amazingly slow when they first come out. If you're just in here to bitch about demonoid though you should probably get the fuck out.

Yep looks like they closed registrations, looks like you'll have to get one of the millions of invites that are floating around like dead bodies in the hudson.

Yeah, really weird stuff from EZTV sometimes. Last night's Lost episode, max speed from EZTV was 80kb/s despite 17,000 seeders, swapped to demonoid and got 950kb/s.
