    Resident Evil 4

Quick Question: Sadly i missed this game the last gen, and with all the hype surrounding Re5 and my infatuation with the demo,im thinking of buying this.

Its only 10 bucks in Gamestop new, and i was gonna buy the Ps2 version for the added mission things.

    Yey or ney?

If you have a Wii, go for that version, otherwise go PS2. It's worth it.

It's definitely worth at least $10. I'd buy it for $10 for the PS If I found it for that much, and i played the hell out of it on the GC.

the PS2 and Wii versions have extra content that the GC version doesnt have. I prefer the PS2 controls but I'm not big on motion control overall.

As a caveat I will say you should stick with the game through the first stage, as your first time in the town area can be very difficult if you're not used to the controls. I got discouraged by this part and it kept me from enjoying the game for a long time.

RE4 has tons of replay value, with bonus modes and extra campaigns and unlockables. For 10 bucks you'll get a lot out of it.

    Wii > GC > PS2

PS2's extras aren't all that great except for mobster kingpin Leon, and the load times are terrible

I just have the GC version, which I bought when I got my Wii, and it's still the best game I own on the Wii, by far.

Final Fantasy Tactics and Metal Gear Solid 2 are the best games I own for the PS3.

    Better?

    You don't have MGS3?

But seriously, RE4 on Wii was a great experience. I bought it for the PS2 but never finished it, but playing it on Wii was really fun.

This topic makes me sad. I just sold my Wii copy last week cause I'd already beat it over 10x and figured I got all I wanted out of it. I was wrong...cause now I want to play it again. Great replayablity, especially in the Wii and PS2 version.

It is well worth the money. I would go with the PS2 version personally due to the extra content they added to it. The storyline is good. The controls are a bit clunky at first but they will be like second nature when it's all said and done. When you beat it there's incentive to play again(getting new powerful weapons like a Tommy gun.) Fantastic game. Plus it plays exactly like Resident Evil 5 so if you're going to get that, this is a good start to get back into the story. It's come a long ways since the Mansion in the Arklay Mountains.

I had all 3, GN > PS2 > Wii, i personaly liked the ps2 better, some times the controls on wii <for me atleast> seems dodgy once in awhile, and after awhile it my arms started to hurt (pretty much played begining to end sence re4 was such and amazing game) but both versions ps2 and wii were awesome, so happying gaming

edit: oh ya, TONS of replay value

Another vote for Wii version. One of the very few Wii ports I've played where the control additions actually make the experience *better*, and not just a straight-on 'remap controls + waggle + lolMotion'.
(I quite like waggling for auto-aim knife attacks vs. holding a shoulder button, moving the camera to aim at my target, then hit another button to attack)

You could always just slap in a Classic Controller or Gamecube controller and it reverts to the old control scheme if you weren't aware.

I had no problem with the IR controls in Merc mode though....
